Two 24" panels of clear glass, one fixed and one hinged, enclose the shower end of a bathtub across 48" of its length. Matte black draws a crisp dark outline around the glass and pairs naturally with black faucets, shower systems and grout lines in a modern or industrial bathroom.

Herald splits its 48" width into a 24" fixed panel and a 24" door. The fixed glass holds the line against shower spray, and the door swings open on Rhino Alloy certified stainless steel high forged hinges, so you get a wide glass screen while you shower and an opening that swings clear for baths and cleaning. A Rhino Alloy certified stainless steel towel bar is mounted on the glass.

Both panels are ANSI certified clear tempered Deco-Glass with TSUNAMI GUARD shielding, which ANZZI says repels water and moisture on both sides for pristine, crystal clear glass. The frameless swinging design keeps the tub looking open, with no metal surround around the glass.

The hinges, handle hardware and towel bar are stainless steel, and the clever symmetrical design allows reversible left or right installation to suit the shower end of your tub. ANZZI's installation manual says the door must be mounted to a stud and asks for at least 1" of flat, level threshold or tub deck space.

The SD-AZ11-01MB measures 48" wide and 58" tall, with a 24" door and a 24" fixed panel. Check the space in front of the shower before you order: a hinged door needs room to swing open into the bathroom, clear of the vanity, the toilet and any towel bars.

Herald is offered here in 3 finishes (brushed nickel, polished chrome and matte black), so you can match the glass to your space and your fixtures; the SD-AZ11-01MB is the 48" x 58" door in Matte Black.

The door is sold on its own, so it needs your existing tub and finished, plumb walls to mount against. Day to day the glass takes very little work: squeegee or wipe it after the last shower of the day so drops do not dry into spots, and wash it with soap and hot water on a soft cloth when it needs more. Skipping abrasive pads and harsh cleaners protects both the glass coating and the matte black finish.

Herald suits a family bathroom tub that is used for both baths and showers, where a full sliding enclosure would get in the way at bath time, in polished chrome, brushed nickel or matte black.

Features

24" Door Plus 24" Fixed Panel
The 48" width is split into a 24" swinging door and a 24" fixed panel, giving a wide spray screen and a generous opening.

Forged Stainless Hinges
Rhino Alloy certified stainless steel high forged hinges carry the door, so it swings open cleanly with no bottom track on the tub deck.

Mounted Towel Bar
A Rhino Alloy certified stainless steel towel bar mounts on the glass, keeping a towel within reach when you step out of the tub.

Water-Repellent Coating, Both Sides
TSUNAMI GUARD shielding repels water and moisture on both sides of the glass, so a squeegee pass keeps it crystal clear.

Reversible Installation
The symmetrical design allows reversible left or right installation, so the door can open at whichever end of the tub you shower.

Matte Black Finish
The hardware is finished in matte black, a low-sheen dark tone that frames the glass in a crisp outline and suits black fixtures and modern tile.

48" x 58" Size
At 48" wide and 58" tall, the door is sized for a 48" opening, so measure the finished opening before ordering.

Specifications

Model: SD-AZ11-01MB

Series: Herald

Type: Frameless hinged tub door

Overall Width: 48"

Height: 58"

Door Width: 24"

Fixed Panel Width: 24"

Hardware Finish: Matte Black

Glass: Clear tempered Deco-Glass, ANSI certified

Glass Coating: TSUNAMI GUARD, double sided

Hardware Material: Stainless steel, Rhino Alloy certified

Operation: Hinged door plus fixed panel

Towel Bar: Stainless steel, mounted on the glass

Reversible: Yes, left or right installation

Minimum Threshold: 1" flat, level

Warranty: Limited lifetime (register within 90 days)

What's Included

Tempered Deco-Glass door

Tempered Deco-Glass fixed panel

High forged hinges

Stainless steel towel bar

Installation & Care

Installation
Fits a finished opening 48" wide and 58" tall, installed on a finished threshold or tub deck between finished walls that are plumb and at right angles. Because the Tsunami Guard coating makes water bead and run off, a squeegee or soft-cloth wipe after each shower clears the drops before they dry into spots; skip scouring cleaners, bristle brushes and abrasive sponges, which can scratch the glass and its coating.
