steamspa-g-clight-chromotherapy-led-lighting-system-for-steam-showers-and-saunas
SteamSpa G-CLIGHT Chromotherapy LED Lighting System for Steam Showers and Saunas

The SteamSpa G-CLIGHT is a chromotherapy LED light for steam showers and steam rooms, made to run from a SteamSpa steam generator and switched from its control panel. It adds color to a steam session: the LED moves through the seven colors of the rainbow, and SteamSpa describes chromotherapy as setting the mood for bathing and sauna sessions.

The light mounts in the ceiling of the steam room through a 1.77" hole, with a rubber gasket under the lip and a nut tightened from above, so only the lens shows inside the room. SteamSpa's wiring diagrams show up to 5 chroma lights on one system, so a larger room can carry several.

Runs With the Steam Session

Because it is part of the generator system, the light follows the session: when the steam time ends or you shut the generator off, the steam and the light go off together, so nothing is left burning in an empty room.

On SteamSpa's wireless full-function panel the light key does more: the first press starts the chroma lights changing color on their own, the second holds the color you like, and the third turns the lights off.

SteamSpa's control packages show where it fits: the WTPFFMK wireless full-function package lists two chroma color lights and one LED white light, wired from the generator's light lead through the same controller and light wire opening on the generator. Installing it takes care: the manual tells the installer to take moisture-proof measures, because the light's electrical parts cannot be exposed to moisture.

On the GS08TA touchscreen supplied with SteamSpa's BKT generator packages, you slide a dot around a color circle or tap a color icon and the chroma lights change at once, so you can pick one color for the whole session.

Planning the Install

A steam room has to be sealed so steam cannot escape into the wall or ceiling cavity, and SteamSpa recommends 100% silicone caulk around pipes and fittings; the light's ceiling opening gets the same care, with the rubber gasket seated flat against the ceiling. All wiring must be installed by a licensed electrical contractor, and power to the generator is disconnected for any service.

Use it to finish a new SteamSpa steam shower or to add color to an existing one; it pairs with the G-LED white light when you want both.

The SteamSpa G-CLIGHT brings color into a SteamSpa steam room the simple way: mounted flush in the ceiling, wired to the generator and switched from the same panel you already use for the steam.

Features

Seven Rainbow Colors
The LED cycles through the seven colors of the rainbow, so the steam room glows in a slowly shifting color instead of a single flat white.

Cycle or Hold a Color
On SteamSpa's wireless full-function panel, one press of the light key lets the color change automatically, a second press holds the current color and a third turns the lights off.

Recessed Ceiling Mount
The light sits in a 1.77" ceiling hole with a rubber gasket and a locking nut, keeping a clean flush look and a seal against steam.

Switches Off With the Session
When the steam time runs out or the generator is turned off, the light goes off automatically with the steam, so it never stays on in an empty room.

Built for the SteamSpa System
It plugs into the SteamSpa generator's light connection rather than household wiring, so it runs from the same panel that controls your steam.

Room for More Lights
SteamSpa's wiring diagrams show up to 5 chroma lights connected to one generator system, so larger steam rooms can be lit evenly from corner to corner.

Specifications

Model: G-CLIGHT

Type: Chromotherapy LED light, seven colors

Mounting: Recessed in the steam room ceiling, 1.77" hole, rubber gasket and nut

Control: SteamSpa control panel light key

Compatibility: SteamSpa steam generator systems

Lights Per System: Up to 5 chroma lights (SteamSpa wiring diagram)

Weight: 2 lb

Warranty: 1 year (SteamSpa controls and accessories)

What's Included

Chromotherapy LED light

Sold separately: SteamSpa steam generator and control panel

Installation & Care

Installation
Install with the steam generator, following the SteamSpa generator manual, with all wiring by a licensed electrician to local and national codes.
