A rider on a walk-behind footprint

A rider on a walk-behind footprint

The Max Ride 20 seats its operator on a 47.5"L x 25.5"W frame and pivots 360 degrees on its own axis, turning around in a 50.5" aisle. A 20" disc and matched 18 gal tanks let it clean about 22,015ft² per hour in real working conditions.

That brings ride-on cleaning to stockroom aisles, classrooms and store floors where a larger rider will not fit, and takes the walking out of a long shift.

Seat and hood tip up

Seat and hood tip up

The seat and hood tip up for access underneath, and seat and lid switches stop the machine whenever the operator leaves the seat or a tank is open. The 18 gal solution and recovery tanks are matched, with a water level indicator and a flexible drain hose for emptying.

Solution flows only while the accelerator pedal is pressed, and the electromagnetic brake holds the rider in place as soon as the pedal is released.

Got Questions?

Find answers below or contact our support team.

How long does the Max Ride 20 run on a charge?

Minuteman rates maximum run time at 3 to 3.5 hours with the 140 Ah AGM batteries. The wet lead-acid version uses 115 Ah batteries, so plan on somewhat less. When 10% of run time remains only two battery lights stay lit, and at 5% the vacuum runs for five more minutes and then shuts off until you recharge.

How much room does it need to turn around?

It turns 360 degrees on its own axis and needs an aisle 50.5" wide to turn around. The machine itself is 25.5" wide with the squeegee fitted.

Can it climb ramps?

The Max Ride is designed for level operation, and Minuteman's manual limits it to ramps and inclines of 2% or less. Avoid sudden stops on any slope with full tanks.

Will it move if the operator gets off?

No. A pressure switch under the seat and contact switches on the tank lid stop the machine unless the operator is seated and the lid is closed. An electromagnetic brake engages whenever the accelerator pedal is released.

Does it include SPORT technology?

No. This is the ECO version, with a 185 rpm brush. SPORT, which scrubs, polishes or removes the top two coats of finish without chemicals, comes only on the separate Max Ride 20 Sport models.

Does it come with a brush?

The Quick Pack includes a 20" pad driver. Minuteman offers 20" nylon and grit brushes separately, and the machine loads and unloads either one automatically.
