The Unger HydroPower Nano Pure Water System (NANOC complete, NANOB base) is a hybrid pure water unit for window cleaning professionals who work in areas with high TDS tap water. The Unger HydroPower Nano pure water system joins nanofiltration and deionization in one wheeled frame: a pre-filter, a 40" large pore nano membrane and the HydroPower Ultra DI resin unit, producing up to 1.5 gal/min (5.68 l/min) of pure water at 60 PSI.
Three Stages from Tap to Pure Water
Water enters at the inlet and passes the combi pre-filter first, which removes the largest impurities and chlorine and so protects the membrane. The nano membrane then removes up to 90% of the minerals, and the HydroPower Ultra resin pack that follows takes out the rest. Water is considered fully demineralized at 0 ppm, and that is the reading the digital TDS meter at the outlet should ideally show. Pure water leaves through the outlet into the hose of a water fed pole, ready for streak free cleaning of windows, facades, walls and hard to reach surfaces.
The whole process runs on water pressure alone, with no electrical power to supply on site. The system needs at least 44 PSI (3 bar) at the inlet and operates up to 90 PSI (6 bar). Feedwater, concentrate and pure water connections all use standard 3/4" threads.
Flow Optimizer Dial
A blend dial sets how the water moves through the system. PURE mode sends all tap water through the membrane before the resin. BLEND mode lets some tap water bypass the membrane and go straight to the resin, raising water pressure at the cost of higher resin use. FLUSH mode rinses the membrane, and pure water keeps flowing at a slightly reduced rate during flushing, so you can keep working. Unger states that balancing pressure and resin usage with the dial extends resin life up to four times.
Complete System or Base
NANOC is the complete three stage system: the Nano base with membrane, the HydroPower Ultra DI tank and resin pack, combi pre-filter, filter key, concentrate hose, membrane maintenance liquid, a suction pipe for membrane care and the instruction manual. It measures 25.5" x 19" x 47.5" and weighs 66 lb empty. NANOB is the base system with a HydroPower Ultra tank conversion adapter for crews who already own a HydroPower Ultra small tank (UHP01), which is not included with the base. The tank sits on four pillars and locks down with four green clamps.
Large wheels on a lightweight frame roll the unit across uneven ground, and pole straps on each side hold up to two poles. Unger lists high rise window cleaning, commercial property maintenance, residential window cleaning services and solar panel cleaning as typical work, as well as removing cobwebs and debris in hard to reach areas. For contractors in hard water regions, the Unger HydroPower Nano system turns tap water into pure water without a generator or power outlet.
Hybrid Nanofiltration and DI
A pre-filter, a 40" large pore nano membrane and the HydroPower Ultra DI resin unit work in sequence. The membrane removes up to 90% of the minerals before the resin polishes the water.
Up to 1.5 gal/min at 60 PSI
The system produces up to 1.5 gal/min (5.68 l/min) of pure water at 60 PSI. That flow suits water fed pole work on windows, facades and walls.
Flow Optimizer Dial
PURE, BLEND and FLUSH modes balance pressure against resin use. Unger states the dial extends resin life up to four times.
No Electricity Needed
The Nano runs entirely on water pressure. It needs a minimum of 44 PSI (3 bar) at the inlet and operates up to 90 PSI (6 bar).
Digital TDS Meter
The meter reads the water at the outlet after membrane and resin. A reading of 0 is the target, and at 10 or more the resin should be replaced.
Flush While You Work
In FLUSH mode pure water continues to reach the pole at a slightly reduced rate. The membrane gets rinsed without stopping the job.
Large Wheels and Pole Straps
A lightweight frame on large wheels handles uneven ground. Pole straps on each side hold up to two poles in transit and on site.
Base Option for Ultra Owners
NANOB adds the Nano stage to an existing HydroPower Ultra small tank (UHP01). The tank locks onto four pillars with four green clamps.
Complete System (NANOC)
Base Only (NANOB)
Sold separately: NANOB: HydroPower Ultra small tank (UHP01)
Installation
NANOB: check that the 4 green clips under the base are open, connect the Nano input line to the bottom water inlet valve of the HydroPower Ultra tank (UHP01), set the tank on the base so the 4 pillars engage, and lock the 4 green clamps. To start a new system, turn the concentrate valve to WORK, set the Flow Optimizer Dial to PURE and run the Nano for at least 10 minutes to saturate the membrane; the pre-filter housing must fill completely with water. For daily use, connect the inlet and the water fed hose. For transport, remove the front hoses and connect the concentrate hose to the upper inlet to avoid spills.
Care
Clean the unit of dirt after each use, and disconnect and depressurize it before cleaning or maintenance. Use only water of known drinking quality, no warmer than 85°F. Replace the resin when the TDS meter reads 10 or more, the combi pre-filter (PFCRN) after approximately 8,000 gallons (30,000 l), and the membrane (NAMEM) every 3 to 5 years with proper care; faster resin use than usual signals a worn membrane. Before storage or more than 14 days without use, treat the membrane with one 1 L bottle of Membrane Maintenance Liquid (ROMML).

Keep your proof of purchase.
Unger was founded in 1964 by Henry Unger, a working window cleaner who set out to make the tools commercial cleaners use every day easier, more efficient and safer to work with. Unger Enterprises, LLC runs its US business from Bridgeport, Connecticut, and its professional range covers outdoor and indoor window cleaning, pure water window cleaning systems, dusting and high access cleaning, floor care and mopping, restroom cleaning and litter removal tools.
The HydroPower Nano is also sold as the HydroPower Nano Complete Pro 39' Kit and Complete Pro 55' Kit with poles and brushes, and the HydroPower Ultra 16K Entry Kits at 33' and 40' use the same Ultra tank. Matching tools include the nLITE Carbon 16K Telescopic Pole and the flagged nLITE Power Brush.
The control head brings the inlet, outlet and digital TDS meter together at the top of the unit.
Turn the Flow Optimizer Dial to choose PURE, BLEND or FLUSH mode and watch the TDS reading, ideally 0, as you work.
On site, the Nano stands by the building while pure water runs up the hose to the brush on the pole.
No power outlet is needed, and pole straps on each side keep up to two poles with the unit.
