Compact 20" disc scrubber, two drives

The E20 scrubs with one 20" disc at 180 rpm on a 3/4 HP brush motor, while a 0.60 HP vacuum pulls 65 CFM through the 33" squeegee to dry the floor behind it. Brush drive models are guided by the operator; traction drive models add a 1/5 HP wheel motor and a speed dial.

Brush drive suits smaller, level rooms. Traction drive earns its keep in long corridors, rated at 27,280ft² per hour against 15,000ft² for brush drive.

Tool-free brush and tank care

Tool-free brush and tank care

A turn of the key drops the pad driver or brush, and lowering the deck over a new one picks it back up, so nobody reaches under the machine. The squeegee comes off by hand with two knobs, and its blades turn to use all four edges.

The 12 gal solution tank feeds a 13 gal recovery tank that is easy to rinse out, which keeps changeovers between areas short and the machine clean overnight.

What is the difference between brush drive and traction drive?

Both share the 20" disc deck, the tanks and the vacuum. On brush drive models the operator guides the machine; traction drive models add a 1/5 HP drive motor with a dial speed control. Minuteman rates traction drive at 27,280ft² per hour at 3.1 mph and brush drive at 15,000ft² per hour at 1.7 mph. Traction drive also weighs more: 372 lbs with batteries.

Should I choose wet or AGM batteries?

Both options are two 12 V batteries in series (24 V), charged by the on-board charger. Wet lead-acid batteries need their water level checked before each use and topped up with distilled water. AGM batteries are sealed and need no watering. Minuteman advises against mixing batteries of different amp-hour capacities.

How do I charge the E20?

On battery models, unwind the on-board charger's cord and plug it into a grounded outlet in a well-ventilated area. The charge status light comes on after about 10 seconds and shows green when the batteries are full. The machine will not run while the charger is plugged in, and the charger stops at full charge to protect the batteries.

Does it come with a brush?

The Quick Pack includes a 20" pad driver, so you can start with standard 20" floor pads. Minuteman offers 20" nylon and grit scrub brushes for this machine separately.

Can the E20 be used on ramps?

It is designed for level floors. Minuteman limits operation to grades of 2% or less, so it is not the machine for parking ramps or sloped loading areas.

How loud is it?

Minuteman lists a sound level of 69 dBA for the E20.
