Mytee 1005LX Speedster Portable Extractor, 10 gal., 500 PSI, LX vacuums

What it is

The Mytee 1005LX Speedster is a portable carpet extractor for residential and commercial carpet cleaning and hard-surface extraction. It pairs Mytee's dual LX vacuum motors, rated up to 250 CFM and 182" of water lift, with an adjustable 500 PSI piston pump (1.5 GPM). The LX motors use a fan design Ametek developed for Mytee, and Mytee rates them for effective hose runs of 150'.

Tanks and job size

Its 10-gallon solution tank and 10-gallon recovery tank are sized for small to medium rooms. The solution tank fills from any standard faucet with the faucet fill hose, a see-through vacuum tank lid shows what is coming out of the carpet, and bucket-height drains make emptying quick. Waist-high switches keep the controls within easy reach to reduce bending.

Power and circuits

The 1005LX runs on two detachable 50' 12/3 twist-lock power cords. Cord 1 draws 20 A and cord 2 draws 15 A at 115 V. Plug each cord into its own 20 A circuit; a dual circuit indicator light and tone confirm when both cords are on separate circuits. It is an unheated extractor; Mytee's 240-120 Hot Turbo portable heater can be added for hot-water cleaning, and the 1003DX is the heated 500 PSI Speedster.

Moving it

The 1005LX weighs 130 lb. 10" foam-filled, non-marking rear wheels and 4" locking front casters move it around the job site and up stairs, and built-in loading wheels let you roll it into a work vehicle without a ramp. The body is roto-molded polyethylene that resists rust and dents, and every Speedster is built and factory-tested at Mytee's California plant.

Tools and warranty

Mytee recommends the 8400GT Mytee Dry GT upholstery tool, the 8314T Bentley 14" carpet wand and the 8314SW Bentley Pro speed wand for this machine. The P507 transport tray fits the Speedster. The 1005LX is covered by Mytee's warranty: 1 year parts and labor, 2 years on major components such as pumps, vacuum motors and heaters, and 10 years on roto-molded housings and tanks.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.

Unused Mytee equipment in its original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. Returns carry Mytee's 25% restocking fee, you pay the return shipping, and payment processing fees are not refunded. Electrical components and refurbished items are final sale, and used machines can't be returned.

Mytee covers the 1005LX for 1 year on parts and labor, 2 years on major components (pumps, vacuum motors and heaters) and 10 years on roto-molded housings and tanks. Freezing damage, abuse, misuse and neglect void the warranty, and normal wear parts are not covered.

Warranty claims. Contact us with your order number, model and serial number. We file the claim with Mytee or direct you to the nearest Mytee service center.

The 1005LX is the LX-vacuum model in the Speedster series and the only one of the four Speedster models with Mytee's LX motors. The 1000DX-200 is the unheated single-cord 220 PSI model, the 1001DX-200 adds a 2,000 watt heater, and the 1003DX pairs the same 500 PSI pump with dual 3-stage vacuums and a 1,600 watt heater.
