The Unger HydroPower RO System (RO20S) is a mobile reverse osmosis pure water unit for professional window cleaners who work in hard water areas and want pure water at low running cost. The Unger HydroPower RO system filters tap water in three stages to 0 ppm and delivers up to 60 gal/h of pure water at 58 PSI (4 bar) for cleaning windows and facades with a water fed pole.
Three Stage Filtration to 0 ppm
Tap water first passes a combined carbon and sediment pre-filter (ROCFC), which takes out the largest impurities and chlorine to protect the membrane. A 30" RO membrane (ROMEM) then removes up to 98% of the minerals, and a DI resin polisher (RORFC) removes the last 2%. The result is water with no dissolved minerals left to dry as spots on glass, so windows and facades can be cleaned without detergent.
Because the membrane does most of the work before the resin, the system suits regions where hard tap water would use up a resin only system quickly. An integrated TDS sensor at the water outlet shows the quality of the pure water in real time, and an analog flow meter shows how much is moving through the unit.
BOOST Mode for Pre-Washing
A second operating mode turns the HydroPower RO into a pre-wash tool. In BOOST mode the pump sends tap water at up to 108 gal/h and 116 to 145 PSI, a strong jet for heavily soiled surfaces, debris and corners that a brush cannot reach. Switch back to pure water mode for the final clean and rinse. Flow rates vary with water temperature, inlet pressure and the accessories in use.
Pump, Power and Build
At the core is a 0.5 HP centrifugal pump made of stainless steel, chosen for a constant, high water flow and trouble-free operation even after long periods of non-use. Dry run protection guards the pump if the water supply drops. The system plugs into a standard 110V/60Hz outlet through a 20' power cord, draws 0.37 kW and accepts an inlet pressure of 14 to 87 PSI (1 to 6 bar).
The black, stainless steel unit sits on maintenance-free solid rubber wheels, so one person can roll it from the van to the job. It weighs 99 lb empty and 110 lb with filling. The motor is rated IP 44 and the pump control IP 65.
Manual flushing of the RO membrane helps extend its life, and Unger publishes a simple replacement schedule for each filter stage, so running costs stay predictable. A TDS sensor at the water outlet shows pure water quality in real time. When the reading reaches 10, the resin filter is due for replacement.

Manual RO membrane flushing helps extend membrane life and lower maintenance cost. With proper care the membrane lasts 3 to 5 years.

Installation & Care
Installation
Read the operating instructions before turning the system on and keep them with the machine. Connect the tap water supply at 14 to 87 PSI (1 to 6 bar), plug the unit into a 110V/60Hz outlet with the 20' cord, and run pure water to the brush through a quick connect hose such as the DuraFlex DLH25. Select pure water mode for cleaning or BOOST mode for a tap water pre-wash. Secure the unit when transporting it in a vehicle.
Care
Replace the combi pre-filter (ROCFC) after approximately 12,000 gallons or 90 hours of use. The membrane (ROMEM) lasts 3 to 5 years with proper care; resin running out faster than usual signals a worn membrane. Replace the resin filter (RORFC) when the TDS reading is at or above 10. When the unit will stand unused for more than 7 days or go into storage, treat the membrane with one 1 L bottle of Membrane Maintenance Liquid (ROMML). Flush the membrane regularly.

Unused Unger products in their original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. You pay the return shipping, and a restocking fee of up to 20% may be deducted along with payment processing fees. Used items and special-order items can't be returned.
Unger covers this product with its Limited Lifetime Commercial Warranty for the original purchaser when it is bought from an authorized Unger reseller, as My Clean Supplies is. If the product has a defect in materials or workmanship, Unger will, at its option, replace or refund the product or the defective part free of charge. Unger defines lifetime as the reasonably expected useful life of the product under normal commercial use. Consumable items that need routine replacement, such as squeegee rubber, scraper blades, microfiber cloths, mop pads, resin, filters, membranes and cleaning solution, are not covered.
