The Unger Excella Floor Finishing Kit 24" (EFKT4) is the wide format floor finish applicator in Unger's Excella range, made for crews that coat large commercial spaces such as hotel lobbies, hospital corridors, big box sales floors, gymnasiums and courts. The Unger Excella 24" floor finishing kit includes the Excella Offset Pole with Actuator (EFPL1), a 24" aluminum Mop Pad Holder (EF60B), three 26" Excella Finishing Pads (EF60F), two 1L Excella Bottles (EFBTL) and the Excella Backpack Complete (EFBAP).
A 24" Applicator for Large Floors
The EF60B holder measures 24" across and weighs 1 lb, and the white EF60F finishing pads that fit it are 26" long. Each pad is made of a lint free material that evenly distributes floor finishing product, attaches to the holder with hook and loop, and is rated for 300 wash cycles. The wider holder lays down a broader band of finish on every pass, which suits open floors with long straight runs.
Backpack Supply, Actuator Control
The Backpack Complete holds 1.3 gal (5 L) of finish in a fluid bag, with a hose and valve assembly that runs to the offset pole. It is black and green nylon and weighs 2.5 lb empty. With the finish carried on the operator's back there is no bucket to move across a wet floor, and the two 1L (34 oz) Excella Bottles fit the pole directly for smaller rooms and touch ups.
Pressing the actuator button sends finish through a blockage free pulse system that dispenses liquid precisely ahead of the pad, which helps keep the coat even. Rotatable grips on the offset pole let the operator spread finish in an intuitive S shaped motion with minimal effort. The telescopic pole adjusts from 45" to 60" (114 to 152 cm): turn the locking collar, set the grip at chin height, then tighten the locking cone, staying below the STOP indicator mark.
Three finishing pads come in the kit, so a clean pad is ready for each new coat or area while the used ones wait for the laundry.
Serviceable and Part of the Excella System
Unger publishes a hose cleaning procedure for the backpack: the hose and valve assembly detaches from the pole and backpack, and the bag, valve and dispensing tube are rinsed with clean warm water. A replacement dispensing tube (EFTDS) and fluid bag (EFBAR) are available, as are replacement EF60F pads and Excella Bottles. The pole is the same one used on the Excella floor cleaning kits, and the EF60B holder also takes the 26" Excella Cleaning Pad (EF60M), so the same tool can damp mop between finish cycles. For narrower areas Unger offers the Excella Floor Finishing Kit 18" and Floor Finishing Straight Kit 18".
For coating large floors without a mop bucket, the Unger Excella Floor Finishing Kit 24" (EFKT4) combines a 5 L backpack, an actuator pole, a 24" holder and three lint free 26" finishing pads.
24" Holder for Wide Coverage
The aluminum EF60B holder is 24" wide and weighs 1 lb. It lays down a broad band of finish on each pass across open floors.
Three 26" Lint Free Finishing Pads
The kit includes three white EF60F finishing pads, each 26" long, made of lint free material that evenly distributes floor finishing product. Hook and loop backing holds each pad to the holder.
5 L Backpack for Floor Finish
The Excella Backpack Complete (EFBAP) holds 1.3 gal (5 L) in a fluid bag and weighs 2.5 lb. A hose and valve assembly carries finish to the pole.
Actuator Dispensing at the Pad
The actuator on the EFPL1 pole feeds finish through a blockage free pulse system that dispenses precisely ahead of the pad. No bucket has to be filled, carried or emptied.
Two 1L Bottles Included
Two EFBTL bottles, 34 oz (1 L) each, fit the pole for smaller rooms and touch ups. Each has a filling level guide and a high precision nozzle.
Telescopic Pole From 45" to 60"
The offset pole adjusts from 45" to 60" (114 to 152 cm) with a locking collar and locking cone. Rotatable grips guide the holder in an S shaped motion with minimal effort.
Rated for 300 Wash Cycles
The Excella Finishing Pad is rated for 300 wash cycles. Pads are laundered and reused between jobs.
Serviceable Hose Assembly
The hose and valve assembly detaches for rinsing with clean warm water. A replacement dispensing tube (EFTDS) and fluid bag (EFBAR) are available.
Sold separately: Unger Excella replacement fluid bag (EFBAR), Unger Excella dispensing tube (EFTDS)
Installation
Attach the EF60B mop pad holder securely to the base of the pole and press an EF60F finishing pad onto its hook and loop face. Fill the backpack fluid bag or an EFBTL bottle with floor finish and connect it to the pole. To set the height, turn the locking collar, raise or lower the pole until the grip meets the worker's chin, and tighten the locking cone; do not extend the pole past the STOP indicator mark. Press the actuator button to apply finish and spread it using an S shaped motion.
Care
After finishing, detach the hose and valve assembly from the pole and backpack and separate the valve from the hose. Remove the fluid bag, discard leftover finish per the finish manufacturer's instructions and rinse the bag with clean warm water. Rinse the valve assembly and dispensing tube; if the tube is clogged, flex it slightly, or replace it (EFTDS). Run clean warm water through the bag and hose, empty the bag, seal it and store it with the hose in the backpack. Launder finishing pads after use.

Unger was founded in 1964 by Henry Unger, a working window cleaner who set out to make the tools commercial cleaners use every day easier, more efficient and safer to work with. Unger Enterprises, LLC runs its US business from Bridgeport, Connecticut, and its professional range covers outdoor and indoor window cleaning, pure water window cleaning systems, dusting and high access cleaning, floor care and mopping, restroom cleaning and litter removal tools.
The Excella Floor Finishing Kit 24" is the widest of Unger's Excella finishing kits, alongside the Excella Floor Finishing Kit 18" and the Excella Floor Finishing Straight Kit 18". It shares its pole and 24" holder size with the Excella Floor Cleaning Kit 24". Other Excella kits include the Floor Cleaning Kit 18", Floor Cleaning Straight Kit 18", Starter Kits, Pocket Mop Kit, Mop Pack and Bucket Pack. Matching parts include the Excella Finishing Pad, Cleaning Pad, Excella Bottle and Backpack Complete.
The 24" finishing kit is shown with its Excella Backpack Complete alongside the offset pole with actuator and the wide 24" holder.
The backpack carries 5 L of finish, and the two 1L bottles fit the pole when a smaller supply is enough.
The backpack connects to the pole through a hose and valve assembly, so finish flows to the actuator and out at the pad.
After the job the hose assembly detaches from both ends for rinsing with clean warm water.
Here the kit is in use applying finish to a gym floor, the kind of large open space the 24" holder is sized for.
The lint free 26" pad spreads the finish evenly as the operator guides it in an S shaped motion.
