The ANZZI SD-AZ053-01CH is the 28" x 56" Myth Series frameless tub door in Polished Chrome. A compact 28" wide, 56" tall frameless glass door, it guards the shower end of a bathtub against splashes while leaving most of the tub open. Polished chrome is the bright mirror finish that matches most standard faucets and shower trims, so the door blends into an existing bathroom without a second metal finish.
Myth is the minimal option for a bathtub shower. Rather than enclosing the whole tub, a 28" frameless glass door hinges from the wall at the shower end, so the rest of the tub stays open for bathing, sitting on the rim or cleaning. German engineered high grade hinges give an effortless door swing, and anti water seals cover the full length of the panel to keep water off the floor.
The panel is crystal clear tempered Deco-Glass with pre-drilled hardware holes, from ANSI certified tempered glass, and ANZZI's dual sided Tsunami Guard coating helps prevent water stains, soap scum and limescale build-up. A single small panel is also quick to wipe down after a shower.
The hardware is marine grade aluminum alloy and zinc, which ANZZI rates highly rust resistant, and it is Rhino Alloy certified scratch resistant against minor scratches and chips. The opening can be installed on either the left or the right side.
The SD-AZ053-01CH measures 28" wide and 56" tall. Check the space in front of the shower before you order: a hinged door needs room to swing open into the bathroom, clear of the vanity, the toilet and any towel bars.
Myth is offered here in 2 finishes (brushed nickel and polished chrome), so you can match the glass to your space and your fixtures; the SD-AZ053-01CH is the 28" x 56" door in Polished Chrome.
The door is sold on its own, so it needs your existing tub and finished, plumb walls to mount against. Day to day the glass takes very little work: squeegee or wipe it after the last shower of the day so drops do not dry into spots, and wash it with soap and hot water on a soft cloth when it needs more. Skipping abrasive pads and harsh cleaners protects both the glass coating and the polished chrome finish.
Myth suits a small bathroom or a kids' bath where a full sliding enclosure would feel heavy, and anyone who wants to replace a shower curtain with glass while keeping the tub easy to reach, in polished chrome or brushed nickel. ANZZI highly recommends professional installation.

Installation & Care
Installation
Fits a finished opening 28" wide and 56" tall, installed on a finished threshold or tub deck between finished walls that are plumb and at right angles. The hardware is reversible for a left or right opening. ANZZI recommends professional installation. ANZZI's specification sheet is in Resources.
Care
ANZZI's care guide says to clean with regular soap and hot water on a non-abrasive cloth or sponge, to test any stronger cleaner on an inconspicuous area first, to rinse every surface completely right after cleaning, and never to let a cleaner soak. Because the Tsunami Guard coating makes water bead and run off, a squeegee or soft-cloth wipe after each shower clears the drops before they dry into spots; skip scouring cleaners, bristle brushes and abrasive sponges, which can scratch the glass and its coating. Wipe the metal hardware dry with a soft cloth and keep ammonia, bleach and acid cleaners off the finish.
