The Unger ErgoTec Locking Cone (NCAN0 in green/black, NCANR in red) securely attaches cleaning tools to Unger telescopic poles. This Unger ErgoTec locking cone is the tool adapter for professional window cleaners and cleaning crews who need tools to stay on the pole while they work overhead, and it comes standard with all Unger aluminum telescopic poles.
Push Button Lock, Quick Release
The cone attaches to the top of the telescopic pole and its push button locking mechanism holds the tool so it cannot work loose or fall off during use. Unger states that this secure connection enhances safety during high access cleaning. When the job changes, the quick release button frees the tool for a fast change, so one pole can carry a squeegee, a washer, a duster or a bulb changer in turn.
A dual purpose tip takes both Acme threaded and taper lock tools. Unger designs its bulb changing, window and dusting tools to fit the cone, and it is compatible with all Unger extension poles, so it fits into an existing pole kit without other changes.
Built for High Access Work
The body is robust plastic, 5.3" long and 1.4" across, and weighs about 0.1 lb. An ergonomic design keeps handling comfortable during extended cleaning sessions. Unger names high rise window cleaning that needs extended reach, interior atrium glass, hard to reach skylights and commercial building facades as ideal uses.
Choose NCAN0 in green and black for general pole work, or NCANR in red; the red cone is the version listed in Unger's RestroomRx cart kits. Related Unger pieces include the Threaded Wood Cone Adapter, the HiFlo nLite Locking Cone Adapter, the High Access Dusting Kit and the Damp Mop Pad Holder.
Push Button Locking Mechanism
The locking mechanism holds the tool on the pole and prevents it from falling off during use. Unger states this enhances safety during high access cleaning.
Quick Release Button
A quick release button allows rapid tool changes on the pole. Moving from washing to squeegeeing or dusting stays fast during the job.
Dual Purpose Tip
The tip accommodates both Acme threaded and taper lock tools. One cone covers a wide range of window, dusting and bulb changing tools.
Fits All Unger Extension Poles
The cone is compatible with all Unger extension poles and comes standard on Unger aluminum telescopic poles. A spare or replacement drops straight into your system.
Durable Plastic Construction
Robust plastic construction gives long lasting performance in daily use. The cone weighs about 0.1 lb, so it adds little weight at the pole tip.
Ergonomic Design
The ergonomic design makes the cone comfortable to handle during extended cleaning sessions. Fitting and releasing tools stays easy even with wet hands.
Two Colors
The cone comes in green and black (NCAN0) or red (NCANR). The red version is the one Unger lists in its RestroomRx cart kits.
Green/Black (NCAN0)
Red (NCANR)
Installation
Attach the locking cone securely to the top of the telescopic pole. Push the tool onto the tip, or thread an Acme threaded tool on, until the push button lock engages. Press the quick release button to remove the tool.
Care
Rinse the cone with clean water after wet work and let it dry. Keep the button and tip free of grit, and check that the lock engages before raising a tool overhead.
