The Unger Excella Starter Kit 18" (EFHC1) is the entry kit for the Unger Excella Floor Cleaning System, a bucket free floor mop that carries its own cleaning solution on the pole. The Unger Excella 18" starter kit brings together the Excella Offset Pole with Actuator (EFPL1), the 18" Excella Mop Pad Holder (EF40B) and the 1 L Excella Bottle (EFBTL), so a custodian can fit a pad, fill the bottle and start mopping without filling or wheeling a mop bucket.
Liquid Dispensing at the Pull of a Trigger
The Excella pole holds the bottle at its base and dispenses the cleaning solution onto the floor through a liquid dispensing trigger. A blockage free pulse system precisely dispenses the liquid, and the bottle needs no clogging or flushing routine. Because the solution rides on the tool, there is no lifting and carrying of heavy buckets, and a quick pick up of a spill does not mean filling an entire mop bucket first.
The bottle holds 34 oz (1 L) and has a filling level measurement guide, so you can see how much solution is left and refill it in place. The bottle is compatible with both the Offset Pole with Actuator (EFPL1) in this kit and the Straight Pole with Actuator (EFPL4).
Offset Pole With Dual Swivel Handles
The EFPL1 is an aluminum offset pole in black and green with an S curve shape and dual swivel handles. The rotatable grips let the tool follow natural S shaped mopping strokes with minimal effort, and the height adjustable telescopic design lets each user set a comfortable working length. Unger lists the Excella telescopic pole range as 45" to 60" (114 to 152 cm). Together they help reduce worker fatigue over a full route of classrooms, corridors or guest rooms.
The EF40B Mop Pad Holder is an 18" aluminum frame with a hook and loop face that grips Excella pads. Microfiber pads are not included in the starter kit, so you choose the pad for the job: the Excella Cleaning Pad (EF40M, 20") for daily damp mopping, the Excella Finishing Pad (EF40F, 20") for applying floor finish, or the Excella Restroom Cleaning Pad (EF40R, 20").

It is the offset pole version of the starter kit; the Excella Starter Straight Kit 18" (EFHC2) carries the Straight Pole with Actuator instead. Installation & Care
Installation
Attach the EF40B mop pad holder securely to the base of the pole, then press an Excella pad onto the hook and loop face of the holder. To fill the bottle, remove the valve assembly, fill the bottle with cleaning solution, reattach the valve assembly and slide the bottle into position at the base of the Excella pole. Check that the tube is not tangled or pinched at the base of the extension pole. Press the actuator button to apply solution, mop the edges of the room first, then work in an S motion starting in the corner furthest from the door.
Care
After mopping, rinse the interior of the bottle and the valve assembly under warm water. Remove used pads and launder them per the pad's instructions (Excella cleaning and finishing pads are rated for 300 wash cycles). Wipe the pole and holder dry and store the tool hanging or upright.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
Unused Unger products in their original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. You pay the return shipping, and a restocking fee of up to 20% may be deducted along with payment processing fees. Used items and special-order items can't be returned.
Unger covers this product with its Limited Lifetime Commercial Warranty for the original purchaser when it is bought from an authorized Unger reseller, as My Clean Supplies is. If the product has a defect in materials or workmanship, Unger will, at its option, replace or refund the product or the defective part free of charge. Unger defines lifetime as the reasonably expected useful life of the product under normal commercial use. Consumable items that need routine replacement, such as squeegee rubber, scraper blades, microfiber cloths, mop pads, resin, filters, membranes and cleaning solution, are not covered.
