Unger HydroPower QuickChange Resin Bags (HPB06 single bag, HPB24 and DIB84 four bag packs) are the replacement deionizing resin for Unger nLite HydroPower pure water systems. Each Unger HydroPower resin bag is factory filled with the precise amount of mixed bed DI resin for the system, so window cleaning professionals can recharge a tank on site with minimal mess and get back to pure water window cleaning.
How the Resin Makes Pure Water
Inside a HydroPower DI filter, tap water runs through mixed bed ion exchange resin that removes minerals and other solids. The result is pure water that lets glass dry without streaks, so there is no need for chemicals, a squeegee or polishing after the brush. Deionization runs on plumbing line pressure and needs no electricity.
Resin does not last forever. After a certain amount of water it becomes saturated and can no longer remove impurities. Watch the TDS meter: when the reading reaches 10 ppm or higher, the resin should be replaced. Harder feed water uses resin faster, which is why Unger recommends testing the on site water supply for TDS before working.
Pre-Measured Bags Instead of Loose Resin
Unger does not recommend bulk resin in nLite HydroPower systems. Loose resin with widely varying properties can expand too much when water is introduced, and overfilling damages the unit. The pre-measured QuickChange bags are designed to allow controlled resin expansion within a designed safety limit, and they keep the change clean: lift out the exhausted bag, drop in a new one with the zip tie facing up, and pat it down so it seats properly.
The nLite HydroPower HP06T takes one bag, for a DI resin capacity of 6.0l (0.21 cu. ft.), and the HP12T and HP12C take two bags for 12.0l (0.42 cu. ft.). In soft water under 100 ppm, one bag in the HP06 produces more than 414 gal (1,570l) of pure water, and two bags in the HP12 more than 830 gal (3,140l), based on 10 ppm as the maximum for pure water quality.
Choosing a Pack
HPB06 is one bag in a small airtight bucket, a good fit for a single HP06 recharge or a spare on the van. HPB24 is four bags in a large airtight bucket for crews running larger tanks or several systems. DIB84 is a second four bag pack of Unger HydroPower resin bags.
The QuickChange resin bag is not compatible with the Unger HydroPower Ultra. Store unused bags sealed in a cool (15°F to 100°F), dry place, and dispose of exhausted resin in line with local regulations.
Features
Factory Filled, Pre-Measured Resin
Each QuickChange bag is factory filled with the precise amount of mixed bed DI resin for optimum system performance. There is no measuring or pouring loose resin on site.
Controlled Resin Expansion
The pre-measured bags are designed to allow controlled resin expansion within a designed safety limit. Bulk resin can over expand when water is introduced and damage the unit.
Quick, Clean Changes
Remove the bag with expired resin and drop in a new one with the zip tie facing up. The change is fast and easy on the spot, with minimal mess.
Mixed Bed Deionization
Mixed bed ion exchange resin removes minerals and other solids from tap water. The pure water lets glass dry without streaks and without chemicals.
Replace at 10 ppm
The TDS meter shows when the resin is spent: replace it when the reading reaches 10 ppm or higher. Testing the feed water first helps you plan how often bags are needed.
Sized to the Tank
The HP06T takes one bag for 6.0l (0.21 cu. ft.) of resin, and the HP12T and HP12C take two bags for 12.0l (0.42 cu. ft.). Packs come as one bag or four bags.
Airtight Storage Buckets
HPB06 comes as one bag in a small airtight bucket and HPB24 as four bags in a large airtight bucket. Sealed storage keeps spare bags ready for the next change.

Installation & Care
Installation
Shut off the feed water: depress the yellow lever on the system head, turn the On/Off valve to OFF and disconnect the pole hose. While holding the yellow lever down, release the head with a counterclockwise quarter turn and set it aside. Remove the exhausted resin bag by hand, drop in the new bag(s) with the zip tie facing up and pat each bag down so it seats properly, then refit and lock the head.
Care
Replace the resin when the TDS meter reads 10 ppm or higher. Store unused bags in a cool (15°F to 100°F), dry place and never in open or unlabeled containers. Unger warns that spilled resin is a slipping hazard: clean it up immediately, and dispose of exhausted resin in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.

About Unger
Unger was founded in 1964 by Henry Unger, a working window cleaner who set out to make the tools commercial cleaners use every day easier, more efficient and safer to work with. Unger Enterprises, LLC runs its US business from Bridgeport, Connecticut, and its professional range covers outdoor and indoor window cleaning, pure water window cleaning systems, dusting and high access cleaning, floor care and mopping, restroom cleaning and litter removal tools.
QuickChange Resin Bags are the consumable for Unger's nLite HydroPower DI filter systems (HP06T, HP12T/HP12C, HP24T/HP24C). They work with Unger's water fed pole range, including the nLITE Carbon 16K Telescopic Pole, the nLITE Power Brush, the nLITE DuroFlex High Performance Hose and the nLITE Gen 1 and Gen 2 Angle Adapters. The HydroPower Ultra uses its own resin and is not compatible with these bags.
