The Unger HydroPower Ultra PowerPad Starter Kit 20' (UPWK1) is a complete pure water window cleaning kit built around a microfiber pad instead of a brush, for professionals and for crews new to Unger pure water technology. The Unger HydroPower Ultra PowerPad starter kit pairs the HydroPower Ultra small tank (UHP01) with a 20' Carbon Trad Pole (CP600), a 14" nLITE PowerPad with handle and microfiber pad, a spare 14" microfiber pad, a DuroFlex hose and two hook and loop hose straps.
Pure Water Instead of Chemicals
The HydroPower Ultra small tank removes the minerals from tap water through mixed bed ion exchange resin, so the water that reaches the glass dries streak free with no harsh chemicals. A built in TDS meter shows water quality in real time; at 10 ppm the green Ultra Resin Pack needs replacing. The tank measures 14" x 13.1" x 12.3" and weighs 21.9 lb, in aluminum and plastic, and it operates up to 116 psi (8 bar) with inflowing water no warmer than 86°F.
How the nLITE PowerPad Works
The PowerPad (PWH35) carries a 14" microfiber cleaning pad with a large contact area to lift dirt from the glass. Its 360° swivel allows up and down as well as left and right movement, so the pad stays in permanent contact with the glass, even when working laterally. You clean with S shaped movements, as with classic glass cleaning, which makes the tool intuitive to learn and cuts training time. A rinse bar spreads pure water evenly across the full width of the pad. The PowerPad weighs 1.1 lb and fits all nLITE and OptiLoc telescopic poles from Unger, and a second PWP35 microfiber pad is included for changeovers on the job.
Carbon Trad Pole to 20'
The CP600 Carbon Trad Pole is a telescopic carbon fiber pole that extends to 20' and weighs 2.9 lb. Carbon fiber gives strength and rigidity for easy pole work while reducing fatigue and shoulder strain, and the material stays temperature neutral in the hand. Locking cone clamps secure the pole at the desired height without twisting, a non-slip grip protects the pole from concrete damage when it is set down, and the pole collapses compactly for storage and transport. The same pole also accepts washers, squeegees, dusters and brushes.
The green DuroFlex hose (DLS25) carries pure water 82' from tank to pole, and the two hook and loop straps hold it along the pole. Unger lists commercial office buildings, retail complexes, residential homes with windows up to 20' high and educational institutions as typical work. For a first pure water rig with a pad based cleaning method, the Unger HydroPower Ultra PowerPad starter kit includes everything needed to start.
360° Swivel PowerPad
The swivel moves up and down as well as left and right. The pad keeps constant contact with the glass, even when working laterally.
Rinse Bar Across the Pad
A rinse bar delivers uniform rinsing across the full width of the pad. Pure water carries loosened dirt off the glass.
14" Microfiber Pad
The microfiber pad has a large contact area for dirt removal and a streak free finish. A spare PWP35 pad is included.
Lightweight Carbon Trad Pole
The 20' CP600 carbon fiber pole weighs 2.9 lb. It reduces fatigue and shoulder strain over long sessions.
Locking Cone Clamps and Non-Slip Grip
Cone clamps lock the pole at the desired height without twisting. The non-slip grip protects the pole from concrete damage.
Pure Water, No Harsh Chemicals
The HydroPower Ultra small tank deionizes tap water for streak free glass. A built in TDS meter tracks the water quality.
Complete Starter Kit
Tank, pole, PowerPad, spare pad, hose and hose straps come together. It suits professionals new to pure water cleaning.
Installation
Set the tank upright on a stable spot and check that the green Ultra Resin Pack is seated. Connect the DuroFlex hose to the Water OUT connection and the tap water supply to the Water IN connection, open the supply, and hold the yellow lever down with Water OUT open to bleed trapped air. Do not exceed 116 psi (8 bar). Extend the CP600 pole and lock each section with its cone clamp, attach the PowerPad, and secure the hose along the pole with the hook and loop straps.
Care
Replace the resin pack when the TDS meter reads 10 ppm. Use only drinking (tap) water no warmer than 86°F, keep the tank away from heat sources and direct sunlight, and protect it from frost. Swap in the spare microfiber pad when the first one is soiled, and rinse used pads clean before reuse. Collapse the pole for storage and transport.
