The Unger OptiLoc 3-Section Telescopic Pole (ED180, ED370, ED450, ED550, and ED600) is an extension pole for window cleaning professionals and maintenance crews who need to reach elevated glass and surfaces from the ground. The Unger OptiLoc telescopic pole comes in five lengths, from 6' up to 20', so you can match the pole to the height of the work instead of carrying more pole than the job needs.
Reach Without the Ladder
Working from the ground is the point of a telescopic pole. The three sliding sections let you clean high windows and hard to reach areas without climbing, which reduces reliance on ladders and makes the job safer, since the work stays on the ground. You extend only as far as the pane requires, lock the sections, and work.
The ErgoTec Locking Cone is included at the tip. It gives quick, secure attachment and release of Unger cleaning tools that engage on the safety cone, so you can switch from washing to drying without walking back to the van for a second pole.
Aluminum Sections and Nylon Collars
The sections are anodized, extruded drawn aluminum. That construction keeps the pole robust enough for daily professional use while staying light: the 6' ED180 weighs 1.5 lb and the 20' ED600 weighs 3.5 lb. A lighter pole is easier to hold overhead and to control at full extension.
Length is set with 3.5" nylon locking collars that twist to lock each section securely at the length you want, keeping the pole stable while you push and pull a tool across the glass. An extension stop is built in. The handle grip is ergonomically shaped for comfort to reduce fatigue over long sessions, and an anti-slip end cap stops the pole from sliding when you rest it on the ground and protects the end from damage.
Choosing a Length
The 6' ED180, 12' ED370, 14' ED450 and 18' ED550 measure 1.8" across the pole, while the 20' ED600 steps up to 2". As a planning rule, choose a pole whose extended length plus your own reach clears the highest glass on the route, and remember that a shorter pole is easier to handle for the many windows that do not need full length.
For crews who want one dependable pole for professional window cleaning, the Unger OptiLoc 3-section telescopic pole combines anodized aluminum sections, twist locking nylon collars and the ErgoTec Locking Cone in five working lengths.
Five Lengths From 6' to 20'
Choose the 6', 12', 14', 18' or 20' pole to match the height you clean. Three telescoping sections let you work at any length up to the maximum.
Anodized Extruded Aluminum
The sections are anodized, extruded drawn aluminum for a robust yet lightweight pole. The 20' ED600 weighs 3.5 lb, which keeps it manageable overhead.
3.5" Nylon Locking Collars
Twist the 3.5" nylon collars to set and lock each section securely. The pole stays stable at the chosen length while you work the tool across the glass.
ErgoTec Locking Cone Included
The included ErgoTec Locking Cone gives quick attachment and release of Unger tools that engage on the safety cone.
Clean High Glass From the Ground
The telescopic design reaches elevated windows and surfaces without a ladder. That improves safety and cuts setup time on every drop.
Anti-Slip End Cap
The end cap keeps the pole from slipping when it is rested on the ground. It also protects the pole end from damage for a longer working life.
Ergonomic Handle Grip
The grip is shaped for comfort and control. It reduces hand fatigue during extended use on long routes.
Built In Extension Stop
Unger lists an extension stop on the OptiLoc pole. Each section reaches a defined end point as you pull it out, so you know when it is fully extended.

Installation
Push an Unger tool onto the ErgoTec Locking Cone until it engages on the safety cone; release it the same way to swap tools. To extend, loosen a nylon collar, slide the section out to the length you need and twist the collar to lock it before lifting the pole.
Care
Rinse the sections with clean water after work, especially after pure water or detergent use, and dry them before collapsing the pole so grit is not drawn into the collars. Store the pole collapsed and resting on its anti-slip end cap or flat.

Twist the 3.5" collars to set and lock each section, so the pole stays stable at the chosen length.
The ED370 shown here extends to 12' through three anodized, extruded drawn aluminum sections.
The included ErgoTec Locking Cone at the tip gives quick attachment and release of Unger tools that engage on the safety cone.
The ED450 is the 14' pole in the range, built the same way with three telescoping sections.
The series runs 6', 12', 14', 18' and 20', and an anti slip end cap keeps the pole steady when rested on the ground.
