The Unger SmartColor Micro Mop 15.0 (MM400 green, MM40B blue, MM40R red, MM40Y yellow) is a 16" (40 cm) heavy duty microfiber flat mop for floors with grout lines. The Unger SmartColor 16" microfiber mop uses long 15mm cut microfiber fibers that reach into grout joints on ceramic tile and stone, absorb liquid and lift dirt, dust and debris in high soil, high traffic areas.
Long Fibers for Tile and Grout
The 15mm fibers give the mop a large working surface. Cut microfiber improves dirt absorption and supports streak free cleaning, and the mop holds 6 times its own weight in water, so one charge of solution covers a large area before you need to recharge the pad. Both the fibers and the support material are 100% polyester. Unger lists the mop for ceramic tiles, epoxy coverings, sealed concrete and cement, and rolled flexible coverings such as linoleum, PVC, vinyl and rubber.
The heavy duty construction stands up to frequent laundering: the mop is machine washable up to 500 times. Reusing the pad keeps the cost of each cleaning down and reduces the water and chemical a crew needs.
Four SmartColor Colors
The Micro Mop 15.0 comes in green, blue, red and yellow as part of Unger's SmartColor Cleaning System, a visual color coding scheme that assigns each color to a cleaning zone. Typical zones are break rooms, kitchens and food service areas; restrooms; specialty areas such as laboratories and gymnasiums; and general areas such as offices, lobbies and classrooms. Keeping each mop color in its own zone stops a restroom mop from ending up in a food prep area, and the visual code makes training simple across a diverse workforce. Unger recommends pairing the mop with a handle, bucket and other tools coded to the same zone, both in use and in storage.
Holders and Systems
The mop fits the Unger SmartColor Flat Mop Holder (SM40G) and the EZ Flat Mop Holder in red (SM40R), as well as the erGO Pocket Mop Holder (FAPMH). The red Micro Mop 15.0 is part of Unger's RestroomRx carts and Restroom Specialist cleaning process, paired with the EZ Mop Holder, Ergo TelePole and Dual Compartment Mop Bucket.
Choose the Unger SmartColor Micro Mop 15.0 when tile and grout floors need a deeper pile than a standard flat mop, and stock it in the colors your zones require.
