The 600EV panel carries a high-to-low speed dial and a 0-3" differential pressure gauge. Run it at full speed while dust is being made, then turn it down for a quiet overnight run: Aerospace America rates it 66 dB on high and 42 dB on low at 10'.

With new filters the gauge reads about 1.9" at full speed, and 2.4" is the point to change filters.

Three stages, 12" x 12" filters

Three stages, 12" x 12" filters

Air passes a pre-filter pad (9150-01) and a ring filter (9150-02) before the 12" x 12" x 6" HEPA filter, then leaves through the 8" side exhaust. Carbon pre-filters are available when a job also has odor.

The pre-filter and ring filter are shared with the 500 Variable 9150, though the HEPA filter is a different depth.

Replacement HEPA filters stay cheap

Replacement HEPA filters stay cheap

The 600EV uses a 12" x 12" x 6" HEPA filter, so replacements cost less than the full-size 24" x 24" x 12" cells. Keep the pre-filter fresh and the HEPA stage lasts longer.

At 1.67 amps the 600EV can share a circuit with lights and hand tools, which a 1 HP unit often cannot.

Got Questions?

Find answers below or contact our support team.

How much air does the 600EV move?

Airflow is variable and set with the speed dial: 0-550 CFM on the Standard 9160, 0-600 CFM on the Full Feature 9160FF.

How quiet is the 600EV?

Aerospace America rates the 9160 at 66 dB on high and 42 dB on low, measured at 10'.

What does the Full Feature 9160FF add?

An alarm sounds and a red light illuminates on HI when the HEPA filter is full, so the crew does not have to keep checking the gauge.

What filters does the 600EV use?

A pre-filter pad (9150-01), a ring filter (9150-02) and a 12" x 12" x 6" HEPA filter (9160-03).

When should I change the filters?

With new filters the gauge reads about 1.9" at full speed. Change filters when it reaches 2.4", starting with the pre-filter.
