Room air enters through the sliding intake door, passes a pad pre-filter and a ring panel, then the 24" x 24" HEPA filter, and only then reaches the motor-blower and the clean-air exhaust. The pre-filters take the coarse dust so the HEPA stage lasts.
Changing the first-stage pad daily on round-the-clock work and the ring panel about weekly is the cheapest way to keep the ECONO at full airflow.
The ECONO panel carries a differential pressure gauge, a two-speed rocker switch and a push-button circuit breaker. With clean filters the gauge reads about 1.8" to 2.2" of water column, and the number climbs as the HEPA filter loads.
Plan a HEPA change before the gauge passes 3.0". There is no alarm on this model, so someone on the crew needs to check the gauge.
Every Aeroclean cabinet is fabricated from aircraft-grade aluminum, which keeps the ECONO at 106 lbs while still housing a 24" x 24" x 12" HEPA filter. Four handles and four heavy-duty casters move it between rooms and onto a truck.
On a large containment, several units of different sizes can run side by side, each ducted to its own exhaust point.

It is rated 1950 CFM on high and 1300 CFM on low, measured at 1.9" running static pressure. Long duct runs and loaded filters lower the delivered airflow.
A 24" x 24" pad pre-filter, a 24" x 24" ring panel and a 24" x 24" HEPA filter. They are the same sizes as the other 2000 CFM class Aeroclean units, and the replacement set is sold separately.
Aerospace America suggests a new HEPA filter about every 350 hours of use, sooner on dusty jobs. Keep an eye on the pressure gauge: a clean set of filters reads about 1.8" to 2.2" of water column, and the unit should not run past 3.0".
No. The ECONO has a pressure gauge but no audible or visual alarm. If a job requires an alarm, the Aeroclean Full Feature 9103 adds a red warning light and audio alarm.
Use a grounded 12 gauge or heavier cord no longer than 100', and plug each unit straight into the power source rather than into another machine.
