Both Expanders on an AnteRoom 48

Both Expanders on an AnteRoom 48

Fitted together, a 12" and a 24" expander take an AnteRoom 48 from its 2' deep base module to a 4' W x 5' D vestibule. Each expander brings its own floor levelers and couplers, so the joined set stands level as one unit.

That depth leaves room for a worker to change protective gear with a cart or tools inside, instead of doing it in the corridor.

Standard Depth Before Expanding

Standard Depth Before Expanding

Without an expander, an AnteRoom 48 module is 4' W x 2' D, with its hinged door, window and duct port. The expander couples to this base module to add depth; the door and duct connection stay on the base.

Start with the base module for quick entry and exit, and add a 12" or 24" expander when the job needs space to change gear.

Got Questions?

Find answers below or contact our support team.

Which expander fits my AnteRoom?

HCAR3618 expanders fit the AnteRoom 36. HCAR4818 expanders fit the AnteRoom 48, the 48 Double Door and, per HEPACART, the HEPAROOM 48.

Can I use two expanders together?

Yes. For the AnteRoom 48, HEPACART shows one 12" plus one 24" expander making a 5' deep vestibule.

What comes with an expander?

The expander module with its floor levelers and couplers. Installation instructions are in the Resources tab.

Does an expander change the door size it fits?

No. Expanders add depth only. Reducers and extenders change the width and height to fit the door frame.
