The 500137-MIR is a Bellaterra Home 17.7" rectangular wood framed bathroom mirror in a wenge finish, measuring 17.7" wide, 31.5" high and 1.7" deep. The frame is solid birch wood. It gives the wall above a vanity a finished focal point and a clear, full view of the face for everyday grooming.
Frame and Finish
Bellaterra gives the frame a waterproof wood finish to protect it against bathroom humidity. A deep wood tone like this adds warmth to a bathroom of white tile and light walls, and it pairs naturally with darker wood vanities.
The mirror glass resists rusting in bathroom humidity, which suits a room that sees steam from the shower every day.
Sizing and Placement
When pairing a mirror with a vanity, a common approach is to choose one a little narrower than the vanity so it sits within the line of the countertop, and to hang it so its center is close to eye level for the people who use the sink most. At 17.7" wide, this mirror can be centered over a vanity of about that width or wider.
Its portrait proportions, taller than wide, suit a single sink vanity and a narrow stretch of wall, and they draw the eye upward in a small bathroom. A rectangular mirror lines up with the straight edges of the vanity, the countertop and the tile around it, which keeps the wall looking orderly and lets the finish do the decorating.
Light matters as much as the mirror. Fixtures on both sides of the glass, or one above it, reduce shadows on the face, and the mirror doubles the effect by reflecting that light back into the room.
A mirror is often the largest single surface on a bathroom wall, so it sets the tone for the room. Tie it to one other element, such as the vanity, the faucet or the light fixture, and the room reads as planned rather than assembled piece by piece.
Hanging the Mirror
It hangs on a recess mounting bracket. No assembly is required. Mounting hardware is included. The mirror weighs 14 lb, so fix it to a stud or to wall anchors rated for that weight.
Beyond the bathroom, a mirror like this also works in an entry, a hallway or a bedroom, where it bounces daylight or lamp light around the room and makes a small space feel more open. For a bathroom that needs a wenge framed mirror about 17.7" wide, the Bellaterra Home 500137-MIR pairs a solid wood frame with a moisture protective finish.
Features
Solid Birch Frame
Bellaterra builds the frame from solid birch wood rather than from a printed or laminated board.
Wenge Finish
The wenge finish is sealed to protect the frame against the humidity of a working bathroom. A deep wood tone like this adds warmth to a bathroom of white tile and light walls, and it pairs naturally with darker wood vanities.
Rust Resistant Mirror Glass
The mirror glass resists rusting in bathroom humidity, so it suits a room with a daily shower.
17.7" Wide, Portrait Proportions
At 17.7" W x 31.5" H and only 1.7" deep, the 500137-MIR centers over a vanity of about 17.7" or wider without crowding the wall.
Recess Mounting Bracket
The mirror hangs on a recess mounting bracket that Bellaterra supplies with the mirror, for a tidy installation on the wall.
Mounting Hardware Included
Bellaterra includes the mounting hardware with the mirror, so you only need a drill, a level and wall anchors suited to your wall.

Installation & Care
Installation
Decide the height and mark the center line of the vanity on the wall before drilling. The mirror measures 17.7" W x 1.7" D x 31.5" H and weighs 14 lb; fix it with the mounting hardware included into a stud or into wall anchors rated for that weight, check that it hangs level and keep it out of direct shower spray.
Care
Clean the glass with a soft cloth and glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth, not onto the mirror, so liquid does not run behind the glass or into the frame. Dust the frame with a soft, dry cloth, wipe up splashes promptly and keep abrasive pads and harsh chemicals off the finish.
