The 8836-24BL is a Bellaterra Home 27.5" rectangular metal frame mirror in a black finish, 27.5" wide, 30" high and 4" deep. A thin metal frame outlines the glass, and Bellaterra recesses the mirror into that frame so the edge of the glass sits inside the border.
Thin Metal Frame
The frame has a powder coated black finish. Black gives the frame a strong, graphic outline that stands out against light walls and tile and ties in with dark hardware and fixtures. The thin profile keeps the attention on the reflection, which suits modern and transitional bathrooms where a heavy wood frame would feel too formal.
The glass has a flat, non-beveled edge, and the edges are hand polished for safety and appearance. The mirror glass resists rusting in bathroom humidity, which suits a room that sees steam from the shower every day.
Sizing and Placement
When pairing a mirror with a vanity, a common approach is to choose one a little narrower than the vanity so it sits within the line of the countertop, and to hang it so its center is close to eye level for the people who use the sink most. At 27.5" wide, this mirror can be centered over a vanity of about that width or wider.
Its portrait proportions, taller than wide, suit a single sink vanity and a narrow stretch of wall, and they draw the eye upward in a small bathroom. A rectangular mirror lines up with the straight edges of the vanity, the countertop and the tile around it, which keeps the wall looking orderly and lets the finish do the decorating.
Light matters as much as the mirror. Fixtures on both sides of the glass, or one above it, reduce shadows on the face, and the mirror doubles the effect by reflecting that light back into the room.
A mirror is often the largest single surface on a bathroom wall, so it sets the tone for the room. Tie it to one other element, such as the vanity, the faucet or the light fixture, and the room reads as planned rather than assembled piece by piece.
Hanging the Mirror
Bellaterra gives this mirror 3 adjustable pivot angles, so the glass can tilt to suit the height of the people using it. Slight assembly is required before hanging. Mounting hardware is included. The mirror weighs 15 lb, so fix it to a stud or to wall anchors rated for that weight.
Beyond the bathroom, a mirror like this also works in an entry, a hallway or a bedroom, where it bounces daylight or lamp light around the room and makes a small space feel more open. For a bathroom that calls for a slim black frame about 27.5" wide, the Bellaterra Home 8836-24BL combines a recessed, flat edge mirror with a powder coated metal frame.
Features
Thin Metal Frame
A thin metal frame in black outlines the 27.5" x 30" glass, and the mirror is recessed into the frame for a clean edge.
Powder Coated Black Finish
The frame carries a powder coated black finish. Black gives the frame a strong, graphic outline that stands out against light walls and tile and ties in with dark hardware and fixtures.
Flat, Non-Beveled Edge
Bellaterra gives the glass a flat, non-beveled edge, which it says produces a brilliant reflection right out to the frame.
Hand Polished Edges
The edges of the glass are hand polished for both safety and appearance when the mirror is handled and hung.
27.5" Rectangular Mirror
At 27.5" W x 30" H and 4" deep, the 8836-24BL centers over a vanity of about 27.5" or wider.
3 Adjustable Pivot Angles
The mirror pivots to 3 adjustable angles, so you can tilt the glass toward the people who use the sink.
Rust Resistant Glass
The mirror glass resists rusting in bathroom humidity, so it suits a room with a daily shower.

Installation & Care
Installation
Decide the height and mark the center line of the vanity on the wall before drilling. The mirror measures 27.5" W x 4" D x 30" H and weighs 15 lb; fix it with the mounting hardware included into a stud or into wall anchors rated for that weight, check that it hangs level and keep it out of direct shower spray.
Care
Clean the glass with a soft cloth and glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth, not onto the mirror. Wipe the metal frame with a soft, damp cloth and dry it, and keep abrasive pads, scouring powder and harsh chemicals off the powder coated finish.
