The Bellaterra Home BACKSPLASH-GC-GY-31 is a 31.5" dark gray composite granite backsplash for a bathroom vanity top, a strip of composite granite 3.15" tall and 0.5" thick that stands along the back edge of the vanity top, where the counter meets the wall. It suits anyone installing a new Bellaterra Home top, finishing a remodel or replacing a stained or missing backsplash, and its main job is to keep splashed water off the wall.
Why a Backsplash Matters at the Sink
Water travels further than you expect at a bathroom sink. Hand washing, face rinsing and tooth brushing all throw drops onto the counter. The drops that land at the back edge have nowhere to go except into the seam between the top and the wall. Over time that seam lets moisture reach the paint and drywall. Bellaterra designs this backsplash to protect the wall from water damage: it covers the seam and gives splashes a hard surface to land on instead.
It is made from composite granite, an engineered blend of crushed quartz, calcium powder, stone dust and acrylic resins. The material is durable and low maintenance, with a non-porous surface that is stain and heat resistant, so splashes and toiletries are less likely to leave a mark.
The dark gray backsplash has a matte finish with polished edges, a quieter look than polished stone that suits a modern bathroom. Composite granite is much lighter than solid granite, which makes the piece easy to handle while you set it in place.
Sizing the 31.5" Backsplash
The BACKSPLASH-GC-GY-31 measures 31.5" long, 3.15" tall and 0.5" thick, and weighs 5 lb, light enough for one person to lift and set on the top. Measure the back edge of your vanity top before you order and pick the length that matches it, so the ends line up with the sides of the top.
Bellaterra offers this dark gray composite granite backsplash in 31.5". Bellaterra offers this composite granite backsplash in two colors, white and dark gray, both with a matte finish, so you can choose the one that suits the room.
Installation is simple. Installation calls for silicone caulking, sold separately: you run a bead along the back edge of the top, press the backsplash into it against the wall and seal the joints so water cannot get behind it.
For a finished dark gray composite granite line at the sink and a wall that stays dry, the Bellaterra Home BACKSPLASH-GC-GY-31 31.5" backsplash is a simple way to complete a Bellaterra Home vanity top.
Features
Composite Granite Blend
The BACKSPLASH-GC-GY-31 is made from composite granite, a durable, low maintenance engineered blend of crushed quartz, calcium powder, stone dust and acrylic resins.
31.5" Backsplash, 3.15" Tall, 0.5" Thick
At 31.5" long, 3.15" tall and 0.5" thick, it covers the back edge of the top and closes the seam between the counter and the wall where splashes collect.
Light Enough to Handle
The backsplash weighs 5 lb, so one person can lift it, test the fit and press it into the caulk bead without a helper.
Stain and Heat Resistant
The surface is non-porous and stain and heat resistant, so splashes and toiletries wipe off instead of seeping in.
Dark Gray Matte Finish
The dark gray composite granite has a matte finish and polished edges, a calm modern look for the strip between the counter and the wall.
Protects the Wall From Water
Bellaterra designs the backsplash to protect the wall from water damage by covering the seam where sink splashes would otherwise seep into paint and drywall.
Sets With Silicone Caulking
Installation is easy: a bead of silicone caulking, sold separately, holds the backsplash on the top and seals it against the wall.
Two Matte Colors
Bellaterra offers this composite granite backsplash in white and dark gray, both matte, so you can choose the color that suits your top and walls.

Installation & Care
Installation
Dry-fit the BACKSPLASH-GC-GY-31 on the vanity top against the wall before you open the caulk and check that the length suits the back edge of the top. Clean and dry the top, the wall and the back of the backsplash, run a bead of silicone caulking along the back edge, press the backsplash into place and run a thin bead along the joints. Let the silicone cure as its maker directs before the sink is used.
Care
Wipe the backsplash with a damp, non-abrasive cloth and dry it, and wipe spills off promptly. The surface is low maintenance; keep abrasive cleaners, steel wool and harsh chemicals away from it, because they can scratch, damage or dull the surface and finish.
