The Bellaterra Home SIDESPLASH-CTWH-21 is a 21" slate white concrete sidesplash for a bathroom vanity top, a strip of concrete 4" tall and 0.67" thick that stands on a side edge of the vanity top, where the counter meets a side wall. It suits anyone installing a new Bellaterra Home top, finishing a remodel or replacing a stained or missing sidesplash, and its main job is to keep splashed water off the wall.
Why a Sidesplash Matters at the Sink
Water travels further than you expect at a bathroom sink. Hand washing, face rinsing and tooth brushing all throw drops onto the counter. On a vanity that sits against a side wall or in an alcove, the drops that land at the side edge run into the seam between the top and that wall. Over time that seam lets moisture reach the paint and drywall. Bellaterra designs this sidesplash to protect the wall from water damage: it covers the seam and gives splashes a hard surface to land on instead.
The sidesplash is made from a Bellaterra cement mix that makes the piece strong yet light weight. The concrete is strong and durable, and the surface is sealed with a non-toxic industrial grade sealer, so the slate white concrete has a protective layer in a spot that is splashed every day.
It has a smooth finish that is easy to maintain, and the slate white color gives the wall line the matte, natural look of concrete. Digital images are not fully representative of the actual product: color and pattern vary from piece to piece, and that variation does not affect how the sidesplash performs.
Sizing the 21" Sidesplash
The SIDESPLASH-CTWH-21 measures 21" long, 4" tall and 0.67" thick, and weighs 5 lb, light enough for one person to lift and set on the top. Measure the side edge of your top where it meets the wall before you order; the sidesplash runs along that edge from the wall toward the front of the top.
Bellaterra offers this slate white concrete sidesplash in 17" and 21". It matches a variety of Bellaterra Home concrete counter tops, and the matching slate white concrete backsplash is sold separately, so the back wall and the side wall can be finished in the same material.
Installation is simple. Installation calls for silicone caulking, sold separately: you run a bead along the side edge of the top, press the sidesplash into it against the wall and seal the joints so water cannot get behind it.
For a finished slate white concrete line at the sink and a wall that stays dry, the Bellaterra Home SIDESPLASH-CTWH-21 21" sidesplash is a simple way to complete a Bellaterra Home vanity top.
Features
Innovative Cement Mix
Bellaterra makes the SIDESPLASH-CTWH-21 from an innovative cement mix that it says creates a strong yet light weight sidesplash, durable enough for daily splashes.
21" Sidesplash, 4" Tall, 0.67" Thick
At 21" long, 4" tall and 0.67" thick, it covers the side edge of the top and closes the seam between the counter and the wall where splashes collect.
Light Enough to Handle
The sidesplash weighs 5 lb, so one person can lift it, test the fit and press it into the caulk bead without a helper.
Sealed Concrete Surface
The surface is sealed with a non-toxic industrial grade sealer, which gives the slate white concrete a protective layer against the water it is there to stop.
Slate White Concrete Color
The slate white finish is smooth and easy to maintain, and each piece varies slightly in color and pattern without any effect on performance.
Protects the Wall From Water
Bellaterra designs the sidesplash to protect the wall from water damage by covering the seam where sink splashes would otherwise seep into paint and drywall.
Sets With Silicone Caulking
Installation is easy: a bead of silicone caulking, sold separately, holds the sidesplash on the top and seals it against the wall.
Matching Backsplash Available
The sidesplash matches a variety of Bellaterra Home concrete counter tops, and the matching slate white concrete backsplash is sold separately to finish the back wall.

Installation & Care
Installation
Dry-fit the SIDESPLASH-CTWH-21 on the vanity top against the wall before you open the caulk and check that the length suits the side edge of the top. Clean and dry the top, the wall and the back of the sidesplash, run a bead of silicone caulking along the side edge, press the sidesplash into place and run a thin bead along the joints. Let the silicone cure as its maker directs before the sink is used.
Care
Wipe the sidesplash with a damp, non-abrasive cloth and dry it, and wipe spills off promptly so they do not dry on the sealed surface. Keep abrasive cleaners, steel wool and harsh chemicals away from the piece, because they can scratch, damage or dull the surface and finish.
