FAQ
Q: What thermal imagers is this lens compatible with?
A: It is compatible with the T5xx/T8xx, E76/E86/E96, and Axxx Series Thermal Imagers.
Q: How fast can I switch between the wide and standard field of view?
A: Switching takes approximately 1 second using the push/pull toggle mechanism.
Q: Does switching between FOVs impact the visual camera performance?
A: No, there is no impact on the visual camera image quality.
Q: Why would I use the wide angle versus the standard angle?
A: Use the wide 42° angle for scanning large areas quickly and the 24° standard angle for detailed inspections and pinpointing specific issues.
Q: What are some common applications for each field of view?
A: Wide Angle (42°) is ideal for tank levels, refractory, ovens, heat exchangers, large motors/pumps, and building envelope inspections. Standard Angle (24°) is suited for general electrical inspections and small motors/pumps.
