Containment that comes down to the floor, for flooring, tile and coring work.
Four push-button actuators lower a foam-sealed aluminum enclosure onto the floor, with a HEPA negative air machine and battery power built in.
Lowers at the push of a button
Four actuators set the foam-protected base down on the floor and lift it back onto its casters to move.

Floor-level containment
The FloorZone is HEPACART's mobile containment unit for work at floor level: flooring and tile installation and repair, coring, mold remediation, and polishing and grinding in occupied buildings. It is built like a HEPACART with an internal negative air machine, but instead of extending up to the ceiling, the whole unit lowers onto the floor around the work area and lifts back onto its casters when the job moves. HEPACART publishes the FloorZone for ICRA compliance levels I to V.
Lowering to the floor
Four actuators, controlled by push buttons, gently lower the base onto the floor. A fully boxed aluminum frame edged with white compression foam meets the floor to protect the finish, and the casters and actuators are removable to open up the corners for work. The working footprint is 80" L x 39" W, the interior is 75" L x 35" W, and at a 300 lbs working weight the unit rolls through any 42" door on 900 lb rated swivel locking casters.
Air and power
An embedded, variable-speed negative air machine with a pre-filter and HEPA filter rated 99.99% at 0.3 µm runs inside the unit, and each FloorZone is tested as an assembled unit before it is issued a Certificate of Compliance. Power comes from a 20' retractable cord, and an included lithium phosphate battery with charging station runs the unit away from an outlet. Two GFCI-protected outlets and dimmable HALO LED lighting are standard.
Access and visibility
Two locking double doors on each side and an end door give access from three directions, with a window in each door and in the end panel. A transparent top panel lets in ambient light, interior and exterior differential pressure gauges show the pressure from both sides, and the doors carry a lock and key set and a work permit holder.

About HEPACART
HEPACART was founded in 2006 to solve one problem: doing construction and maintenance work in an occupied hospital without letting dust and airborne contaminants spread into the rooms around it. Its product line is assembled at its factory in Lenexa, Kansas, and HEPACART reports that carts it sold in 2006 are still in service.
The FloorZone turns the HEPACART cart idea upside down: where the HEPACART and DUSTBUGGY reach up to the ceiling, the FloorZone lowers to the floor for flooring, coring and remediation work, and it is the line's floor-level unit with a battery included. The AnteRoom and HEPAROOM cover doorways and room isolation, and the Full Body Dust Cover is made in a FloorZone size for storage.

FloorZone Sets Down on Actuators
Four push-button actuators carry the FloorZone between its casters and the floor. Lowered, the base rests on white compression foam that meets the floor around the 75" x 35" work area; raised, the unit rolls on 900 lb rated swivel locking casters.
Crews can move from one room or corridor section to the next without building or taking down a tent each time.
Clear Top Over the Floor Work
A transparent top panel admits ambient light over the whole interior, and dimmable HALO LED lighting adds more. The negative air machine controls and two GFCI-protected outlets sit inside the unit, within reach of the work.
Tools for tile, coring or polishing plug in inside the enclosure, and the crew can stand up and work without opening a door.
Parked Ready in the Corridor
Closed up, the FloorZone is an 80" x 39" unit that fits through any 42" door at a 300 lbs working weight, with its battery, cord and negative air machine on board and windows in each door.
Measure the doors, elevators and turns on the route before ordering, and plan floor space to open the side doors when the unit is parked at the work area.
