The base of every HEPACART is a fully boxed aluminum frame on non-marring casters, each rated for 900 lbs, with brakes and swivel locks on one end. The whole cart is rated for 1500 lbs, enough for a crew, a ladder and tools on board.
It matters when the cart is moved several times a day: lock the swivels on one end for straight runs down a corridor, set the brakes before anyone climbs, and roll it through any 36" door on the 55 and 74.
The Classic lifts its enclosure on four telescoping, spring-loaded poles that lock in place and articulate at each corner, so the top seals against the ceiling grid even where it is not level. Standard reach is 10'6".
No tools are needed to raise or lower it, and the top slide-out offsets the frame up to 8" at the ceiling, which helps beside handrails and nurse stations in a corridor.
Collapsed, a HEPACART Classic stands 68" tall and rolls as one piece, with its negative air machine, enclosure, door and lighting already fitted. It arrives fully assembled on a pallet and is ready to use once it is off the pallet.
Plan storage around the working footprint: 60" x 29" for the 55, 80" x 29" for the 74 and 80" x 39" for the 74X, plus room to open the end door.

Yes. The 55 and 74 are 29" wide and fit through any 36" door, and the wider 74X fits through any 42" door. Collapsed, every size stands 68" tall.
The standard enclosure reaches 10'6". A tall enclosure takes a Classic to 12', and the Multiple Tile Adapter takes it to 14'. For taller ladders, the Adjustable Ladder Extension Module (ALEM) configuration reaches up to 16' while the worker stays inside the cart.
The Classic raises its enclosure on four spring-loaded telescoping poles and has the top slide-out for working around wall obstacles. The AutoLift uses two push-button electric actuators and can tilt the enclosure for uneven ceilings or floors. Both reach 10'6" as standard.
HEPACART publishes the HEPACART cart for ICRA compliance levels I to IV. Your facility's infection control risk assessment decides the precautions for each job.
Yes. It ships fully assembled on a pallet by LTL freight, and every HEPA-filtered negative air machine is individually tested and certified before shipment, with the documentation included.
No. The cart has a ladder shelf and accommodates nearly any size or type of ladder, but a ladder is not included.
