J&D 20" Stainless-Steel Basket Fan, IP66 Washdown Motor

What it is

The J&D 20" Stainless-Steel Basket Fan (VDB20SS-GS) is a direct drive horizontal airflow fan built for corrosive environments: coastal sites with salt air, greenhouses that see fertilizers and pesticides, wash-down areas, and outdoor restaurants, pools and patios. J&D rates it at 3,640 CFM of thrust.

Stainless construction

Every exposed part is chosen for corrosion resistance. The heavy-gauge guard is 316 stainless steel, electropolished to a high shine for better resistance to chlorides and acids, less particle buildup and easier cleaning. The three-blade prop and the hardware are stainless steel, and the mounting bracket is 10-gauge 304 stainless steel.

IP66 motor

The 1/3 HP Gold Star motor is IP66 rated: dust tight and able to be washed down from any angle. Its finned aluminum housing carries an electrophoretic coating for extra corrosion resistance, and it has built-in automatic thermal overload protection. It draws 4.0 A at 115V or 2.0 A at 230V and has no belts or pulleys to maintain.

Mounting and warranty

The guard meets OSHA 1910.212(a)(5), so the fan can be installed at any height, and the fan ships assembled with its bracket. J&D says it can be mounted outdoors, where it can withstand weather and be sprayed down. J&D covers the fan for 1 year against defects, and the motor carries a 2-year warranty. It also accepts J&D misting and high-pressure fogging attachments.

Shipping is free within the lower 48 states on orders of $101 or more (orders under $101 ship for a flat $15); for Alaska or Hawaii, contact us before you order. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it leaves J&D.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.

Unused J&D equipment in its original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. Returns carry J&D's restocking fee of up to 25%, you pay the return shipping, and the shipping we paid to deliver it and payment processing fees are not refunded. Built-to-order, special-order and non-stock items are final sale, and installed or used equipment can't be returned.

J&D covers the 20" Stainless-Steel Basket Fan for 1 year from the J&D invoice date against defects in materials and workmanship, and its motor for 2 years. Misuse, abuse, alterations, improper installation or operation, lack of maintenance and non-J&D parts void the warranty, and normal wear, cosmetic rust or corrosion, freight, removal, installation and labor are not covered.

Warranty claims. Contact us with your order number, model and J&D part number. We file the claim with J&D, which decides whether to repair, replace or credit the product. Keep the product clean, dry and stored until it does, because J&D may ask for it back.
