J&D Diamond Brite Portable Drum Fan, 20" to 48"

What it is

The J&D Diamond Brite Portable Drum Fan is a commercial drum fan for moving a large volume of air across warehouses, shops, loading docks, job sites and drying jobs. It comes in five sizes, 20", 30", 36", 42" and 48", rated by J&D at 4,760, 9,100, 11,800, 14,440 and 23,500 CFM of thrust. Every size runs from a 115V outlet on its attached 10' cord.

Housing and guards

The housing is J&D's patented Diamond Brite textured aluminum (Des. Pat. 509,582), with heavy-gauge, powder-coated wire guards that meet OSHA 1910.212(a)(5) for use at any height. The fans ship fully assembled, so the work is unboxing and plugging in.

Motors and speeds

The 20", 30" and 36" models are direct drive with 1/2 HP motors. The 42" is belt drive with a 3/4 HP, two-speed motor (14,440 CFM on high, 10,015 CFM on low), and the 48" is belt drive with a 1 HP motor. Motor amp draw at 115V runs from 4.8 A on the 20" to 9.0 A on the 48".

Moving it

For moving it around, the 30", 36" and 42" sit on 8" wheels and the 48" on 10" wheels, with aluminum carrying handles, a cord wrap for storage and rubber feet for quieter, stable running. The 20" has no wheels and is carried by its handle.

Warranty and misting

J&D covers the fan for 1 year against defects in materials and workmanship, and the motors carry J&D's 2-year motor warranty. The same fans accept J&D misting kits when you want evaporative cooling on hot days.

Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days, then J&D Manufacturing ships smaller sizes by parcel carrier and the largest sizes by freight truck (LTL) from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Ship times vary by model and some are built to order, so we confirm the ship date by email after you order. Shipping within the lower 48 states is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay; freight sizes go to a business address with a loading dock or forklift, so contact us before you order if you need residential, liftgate or appointment delivery, or delivery to Alaska or Hawaii. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it leaves J&D.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.

Unused J&D equipment in its original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. Returns carry J&D's restocking fee of up to 25%, you pay the return shipping, and the shipping we paid to deliver it and payment processing fees are not refunded. Built-to-order, special-order and non-stock items are final sale, and installed or used equipment can't be returned.

J&D covers the Diamond Brite Portable Drum Fan for 1 year from the J&D invoice date against defects in materials and workmanship, and its motor for 2 years. Misuse, abuse, alterations, improper installation or operation, lack of maintenance and non-J&D parts void the warranty, and normal wear, cosmetic rust or corrosion, freight, removal, installation and labor are not covered.

Warranty claims. Contact us with your order number, model and J&D part number. We file the claim with J&D, which decides whether to repair, replace or credit the product. Keep the product clean, dry and stored until it does, because J&D may ask for it back.
