J&D Galvanized Weather Hood for Shutter and Exhaust Fans, 12" to 30"

What it is

The J&D Galvanized Weather Hood mounts over the outside of a wall exhaust fan or shutter to protect it from snow, ice, rain and wind, which helps extend the life of the fan and shutter. It is made for J&D's ES Shutter Fans, Indoor/Outdoor ES Shutter Fans and Twister fans, and J&D says it also complements fans and shutters from other makers.

Build and sizing

The hood is G90 galvanized steel with a 1" mounting flange. It ships unassembled to keep freight down, with the assembly hardware and step-by-step instructions in the box. Choose the hood by fan size: 12" (also fits 10" fans), 16", 20", 24" or 30". The overall width, height and depth of each hood are listed in the Specifications tab, so you can check the space around the opening before you order.

Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days, then J&D Manufacturing ships them by parcel carrier from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Ship times vary by model and some are built to order, so we confirm the ship date by email after you order. Shipping is free within the lower 48 states on orders of $101 or more (orders under $101 ship for a flat $15); for Alaska or Hawaii, contact us before you order. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it leaves J&D.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.

Unused J&D equipment in its original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. Returns carry J&D's restocking fee of up to 25%, you pay the return shipping, and the shipping we paid to deliver it and payment processing fees are not refunded. Built-to-order, special-order and non-stock items are final sale, and installed or used equipment can't be returned.

J&D covers the Galvanized Weather Hood for 1 year from the J&D invoice date against defects in materials and workmanship. Misuse, abuse, alterations, improper installation or operation, lack of maintenance and non-J&D parts void the warranty, and normal wear, cosmetic rust or corrosion, freight, removal, installation and labor are not covered.

Warranty claims. Contact us with your order number, model and J&D part number. We file the claim with J&D, which decides whether to repair, replace or credit the product. Keep the product clean, dry and stored until it does, because J&D may ask for it back.
