On the outside of the wall, the Twister's 18-gauge galvanized butterfly shutters open as soon as the fan starts and spring shut when it stops. Their adjustable, positive closure keeps drafts, rain and debris out between runs.
That seal matters most in heated shops and greenhouses, where a shutter left hanging open would let cold air in whenever the fan is off.
Inside, the heavy-duty motor mount doubles as the safety guard, with an easy-to-clean coated finish. Remove two bolts and the hinged rear guard swings the whole fan assembly out for cleaning.
The balanced aluminum prop on a zinc-plated hub runs smoothly, and the totally enclosed motor has sealed ball bearings, so routine care is mostly keeping the blades and guard clean.

No. It has no cord. Fasten it to your structure and have it wired at 115V or 230V single phase.
The butterfly shutters open as the fan starts and spring closed when it stops, with an adjustable, positive draft-free closure for a tight weather seal.
Remove two bolts and the hinged rear guard swings the fan assembly out.
J&D lists 13-3/4" square for the 12", 18" square for the 16" and 25-1/4" square for the 24". J&D's documents give two figures for the 20", so ask us before you cut.
OSHA requires the damper side to be at least 7' above the floor; the motor-side guard allows mounting at any height on that side.
