Four-inch HEPA filter does the work

Four-inch HEPA filter does the work

Every BioAir pulls room air through a pre-filter and then a 4" HEPA filter rated at 99.97% for particles larger than 0.3 µm. The fan runs at three speeds and the cabinet can discharge in four directions, so the unit can recirculate a room or feed a duct.

KwiKool sizes the range for six air changes per hour in a room with a 9' ceiling: about 700ft² for the 600, 1,100ft² for the 1000, and 2,000ft² for the 1800.

Dual UVC lamps inside the cabinet

Dual UVC lamps inside the cabinet

Two UVC lamps are housed inside the stainless cabinet with reflective insulation, creating an irradiated air chamber around the filter. Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation inactivates microorganisms that pass through the chamber or settle on the filter.

The touchscreen control tracks filter and UV lamp hours and raises a replacement alarm, so maintenance is scheduled rather than guessed. BioAir Max adds needle-point bipolar ionization to the same build.

Washable pre-filter protects the HEPA

Washable pre-filter protects the HEPA

The pre-filter catches the larger dust and lint before it reaches the HEPA filter, which is the expensive stage to replace. Keeping it clean is the cheapest way to hold the rated airflow and stretch HEPA filter life.

Replacement HEPA filters and pre-filters are sold separately for each BioAir size. Check the HEPA filter whenever the airflow drops or the filter alarm comes on.

What is the difference between BioAir Plus and BioAir Max?

Both have a HEPA filter, dual UVC lamps, a three-speed fan and a stainless steel cabinet. BioAir Max adds needle-point bipolar ionization. Airflow ratings are the same within each size.

Can the BioAir run as a negative air machine?

Yes. Used as a recirculating unit it is a HEPA air cleaner. When it is ducted to the outside, it removes contaminated air from the space and draws fresh air in, creating negative pressure in the room.

Which size do I need?

KwiKool sizes the BioAir for six air changes per hour with a 9' ceiling: the 600 covers about 700ft², the 1000 about 1,100ft² and the 1800 about 2,000ft². Higher ceilings or more air changes call for the next size up.

What power does it need?

All three sizes run on a standard 115V, 15 A circuit with a NEMA 5-15 plug and a 6' cord. The 1800 draws about 7.3 A at full speed.

Which replacement filters fit?

The 600 and 1000 use the 14-FILTERBIO HEPA filter and the 14-FILTERPRE pre-filter. The 1800 uses the 18-FILTERBIO HEPA filter and the 18-FILTERPRE pre-filter. Both sets are sold separately here at My Clean Supplies.
