KwiKool's replacement HEPA filters are 4" deep, steel-cased cartridges rated at 99.97% for particles larger than 0.3 µm in the BioAir. An arrow on the label shows the airflow direction, and the black rubber gasket faces the inside of the unit.
KwiKool's BioKool manual suggests replacing the HEPA filter about twice a year, sooner in dusty or remediation work. A clean pre-filter in front of it is the easiest way to make it last.

KwiKool's BioKool manual suggests replacing the HEPA filter about twice a year, depending on the air quality in the space. Replace it sooner if the airflow drops or the filter alarm comes on and a clean pre-filter does not fix it.
Yes. KwiKool describes the BioAir pre-filter as washable. Blow it out with compressed air against the airflow direction or rinse it until the water runs clear, and let it dry completely before you reinstall it. A spare lets the unit keep running while one dries.
Unplug the unit and open the filter access door. Pull the old filter straight out, note the airflow arrow on the label, and slide the new filter in with the arrow pointing the same way and the rubber gasket facing into the unit. Close and secure the door before restarting.
No. Filters are maintenance items and are excluded from KwiKool's limited warranty, so keep a spare on hand for critical jobs.
