The 313MFCPL-2440SB is a Laviva 24" x 40" ceiling hung bathroom mirror from the Hanging Pill collection in Satin Brass, a pill shaped oval mirror that hangs from the ceiling on an adjustable rod instead of mounting to the wall. It is made for a bathroom where the vanity sits in front of a window or an open wall, or anywhere a suspended mirror makes the room the focal point.
The glass is distortion free, so your reflection is true from edge to edge, and Laviva specifies a third generation copper-free mirror 5mm thick. The frame is 304 stainless steel, a grade chosen for wet rooms because it resists rust, and the Satin Brass finish pairs with faucets and hardware in the same tone.
The hanger rod adjusts in length, so the mirror can be set at the right height for ceilings up to 11'. The frame is 44mm thick, the mirror is 24" wide by 40" tall and weighs 39.24 lb, and the hardware is included.
Laviva also makes the wall mounted Pill mirror in the same shape, in 18" x 32", 24" x 36" and 30" x 48" sizes, if you want matching mirrors elsewhere in the home.
Choosing the Height
Set the height to the people using the vanity. The adjustable hanger rod works for ceilings up to 11', so the mirror can sit at eye level above the counter whether the ceiling is standard height or tall. At 24" wide by 40" tall it suits a single vanity or a vessel sink, and it weighs 39.24 lb.
Hanging It
Plan the ceiling before you hang it. Fix the ceiling mount into a joist or solid blocking rated for 39.24 lb; then, following Laviva's installation sheet, remove the back plate, adjust the hang bar to the height you want, lock the screws and glue the cover in place with the glass cement provided. A second person holding the mirror makes this easier.
Laviva's spec sheet lists the build: a 304 stainless steel frame and a third generation copper-free mirror 5mm thick. The frame comes in two finishes, Matte Black and Satin Brass, so you can match it to the faucet and hardware in the room; this one is Satin Brass. Keep abrasive cleaners, steel wool and harsh chemicals off the frame, as Laviva warns they scratch and dull a finish.
For a bathroom where the mirror should be the focal point, the Laviva 24" x 40" ceiling hung bathroom mirror 313MFCPL-2440SB gives you a pill shaped oval in a 44mm 304 stainless steel frame in Satin Brass, copper-free 5mm glass and a hanger rod that adjusts for ceilings up to 11'.
Features
Ceiling Suspended Design
The mirror hangs from the ceiling on a rod rather than mounting on the wall, so it can sit in front of a window or over a freestanding vanity. It turns the mirror into the room's focal point.
Adjustable Height up to 11'
The hanger rod adjusts in length for ceilings up to 11', so you can set the mirror at eye level above the vanity. The back plate comes off to adjust it.
44mm Pill Frame
The 304 stainless steel frame is 44mm thick around a pill shaped oval, with no corners. It looks finished from the front and from the side.
304 Stainless Steel Frame
The frame is 304 stainless steel finished in Satin Brass, a metal that resists rust in a humid bathroom. The finish pairs with faucets and hardware in the same tone.
Copper-Free 5mm Mirror Glass
Laviva specifies a third generation copper-free mirror, 5mm thick, behind distortion free glass. The reflection stays true from edge to edge.
Ceiling Hardware Included
The ceiling mount, hanger rod and glass cement come with the mirror. At 39.24 lb, fix the ceiling mount into a joist or solid blocking rated for that weight.

Installation & Care
Installation
Ceiling mount. Laviva's installation sheet in Resources shows the steps: remove the back plate first, adjust the hang bar to the height you want, lock the screws, then glue the cover in place with the glass cement provided. The mirror weighs 39.24 lb, so fix the ceiling mount into a joist or solid blocking and have a second person hold the mirror while you set the height.
Care
Clean the glass with a soft cloth and a mild glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth rather than the frame, and wipe the stainless steel frame with a soft, damp cloth, then dry it. Avoid abrasive cleaners, steel wool and harsh chemicals, which Laviva warns scratch and dull the Satin Brass finish.
