A light before suction fades

A light before suction fades

Every 390 lid carries a light that comes on when the disposable bag is full or the cloth filter is clogged. Behind it, an embossed filter bag keeps lint off the motor and float shut-off during wet recovery, and a self-cleaning cloth bag sheds dust between changes.

Operators change the bag when the light says so instead of guessing, which keeps the rated 105" of lift at the intake. Unplug the vacuum before lifting the motor head off the tank.

Two tanks, one lid design

Two tanks, one lid design

The 390 comes as a 15 gal stainless steel tank with 14 gal of wet capacity, or as a 55 gal painted drum that holds 47 gal of liquid. Both carry a single-motor lid rated at 115 CFM and 105" of static lift.

Pick the stainless tank for moving between rooms and floors, and the drum on its dolly for flooded areas and heavy debris, where fewer trips to the drain save the most time.

Got Questions?

Find answers below or contact our support team.

Does the 390 come with a hose and tools?

No. The self-sealing intake accepts 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 2" hoses, and Minuteman offers tool kits for different applications, including an optional wet/dry tool kit for the 15 gal stainless model. Hoses and tools are sold separately.

Can it pick up water?

Yes. It is a wet/dry vacuum with a float shut-off in the lid. Minuteman rates wet capacity at 14 gal for the 15 gal stainless tank and 47 gal for the 55 gal painted drum, which drains through a dump valve.

What power does it need?

A grounded 15 A, 115 V, 60 Hz outlet. Minuteman warns that voltage below 105 V or above 125 V can seriously damage the motor, and no plug adapter should be used.

What does the light on the lid mean?

It comes on when the disposable bag is full or the cloth filter is clogged. Replace the bag and clean the cloth filter; a clogged, dirty bag restricts airflow and reduces suction.

Can I add a squeegee for floors?

The 15 gal stainless model (C39105-01) can be fitted with an optional 27" or 33" front-mount squeegee for water pickup on hard floors. The squeegee is not included.

Can it pick up flammable liquids or hot ashes?

No. The manual prohibits flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline, use where they may be present, and anything burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches or hot ashes.
