The 705 lid has no motor: compressed air fed through a 1/2" ID line drives a single-jet venturi that Minuteman rates at 166 CFM and 180" of static lift, from 42 CFM of input air at up to 100 psi. With no motor, switches or power cord, there is nothing electrical to wear out.
It runs wherever the plant has an air drop, including areas without standard voltage. Supply clean, dry air, and ground the vacuum and its accessories, since air-operated equipment can build static.
The 705 comes with a 15 gal stainless steel tank that holds 10 gal of liquid or 1.86ft³ of dry debris, or a 55 gal painted drum that holds 45 gal or 7.16ft³, on a dolly with 5" casters and a dump valve. Both carry the same lid, so lift and airflow do not change with the tank.
Pick the 15 gal tank for moving between machines and bays, and the 55 gal drum for sumps, coolant and bulk spills, where fewer trips to empty save the most time.

Minuteman's specification calls for a 1/2" ID air line, 42 CFM of input air and no more than 100 psi. The valve on the lid can be turned down to run on less pressure and air when full performance is not needed. The air must be clean and dry.
No. It has no motor, switches or power cord: compressed air and a venturi create the vacuum, which suits areas where standard voltage is not available.
Yes. Remove the cloth filter bag for wet recovery, and a ball float in a cage shuts off suction as the tank fills. Minuteman rates wet capacity at 10 gal for the 15 gal tank and 45 gal for the 55 gal drum, which drains through a dump valve.
No. The manual warns that air-operated equipment can generate static electricity, that ungrounded equipment and accessories can arc, and that there is a risk of explosion near explosive materials or vapors. Do not run it near solvents, thinners, fuels or grain dust.
No. The intake accepts 1-1/2" or 2" hose, and Minuteman lists an industrial tool kit (#490025-1) and a commercial tool kit (#490024-1) as accessories. For fine dust, a filter bag protector (#805038, pack of 12) is recommended ahead of the filter bag.
Minuteman says the venturi is silenced down to the low 80 dBA range. Plan hearing protection to your site's rules for long runs.
