The BPV Pro collects dirt in a disposable paper micro-bag that sits inside a reusable cloth shakeout bag, with a dome filter guarding the 1.5 HP motor. A deflector plate holds heavy debris off the motor filter, so the 150 CFM airflow keeps moving as the bag fills.
Change the paper bag when it is full and shake the cloth bag clean each time you empty the unit. Both bags must be in place whenever the vacuum runs, so keep spare paper bags with the machine.

No. It uses an air-thru motor built for dry pickup only. Minuteman says not to vacuum liquids, not to use it on wet surfaces and to store it indoors.
Minuteman ships its 5-piece tool kit (5" upholstery tool, 3" round dust brush, 14" scalloped floor tool, 17" crevice tool and a two-piece bent aluminum wand) on select models only, and the kit is not part of this listing's What's Included.
Loosen the shoulder and waist straps, slide the unit on, then buckle and tighten the waist belt so most of the weight rests on your hips rather than your shoulders. Adjust the shoulder straps and connect the sternum strap for a closer fit. The vacuum weighs 10 lbs.
Replace the paper bag when it is full, and inspect and shake out the cloth bag every time you empty the unit. Do not wash the cloth bag, as washing can shrink it and damage the gasket. On units fitted with the HEPA filter, Minuteman recommends a new HEPA filter about every six months, or sooner if the white disk inside the dome filter is discolored.
The BPV Pro comes with a 50' 16/3 safety cord, and Minuteman says that cord must be used with the unit for grounding protection. Do not tie an extension cord to the short pigtail cord, and plug only into a properly grounded 120 V outlet.
Anything burning or smoking, flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline, and areas where oxygen or anesthetics are in use. After vacuuming paint, sawdust or drywall dust, dispose of both the paper bag and the cloth bag.
