Cylindrical deck for rough floors

Cylindrical deck for rough floors

The E28 deck carries two cylindrical brushes at 850 rpm, set in a cast aluminum housing that is offset to one side so it can clean close to walls. They scrub the surface and sweep loose grit into a dirt container, with the 37" squeegee drying the path behind.

Uneven concrete, grouted tile and textured flooring get deeper brush contact than a flat disc gives, and many floors can skip the pre-sweep.

Got Questions?

Find answers below or contact our support team.

Do I need to sweep before using the E28?

On many floors, no. The cylindrical brushes sweep loose grit and small debris into a dirt container on the deck while they scrub. Pick up large litter, strapping and cardboard first, and empty the container after each shift.

How big are the tanks?

Minuteman's current E28 specifications list a 23 gal solution tank and a 23 gal recovery tank, sized for long runs in warehouse and plant aisles.

Should I choose wet or gel batteries?

Both give 24 V and charge on board. Wet lead-acid batteries need regular watering with distilled water; gel batteries are sealed and maintenance free, and Minuteman notes they add about 16 lbs.

How heavy is it?

Minuteman lists 1,058 lbs with batteries and 470 lbs without. Check floor load limits, and plan delivery for a machine of that size.

How loud is it?

Minuteman lists a sound level of 70 dB or less.
