Two brushes, one pass

Two brushes, one pass

The Port A Scrub 12 scrubs with two counter-rotating cylindrical brushes 12" wide. The front brush does most of the scrubbing and throws the dirty water onto a conveyor drum, where a blade wipes it into the dirty water tank, and the rear brush collects what is left.

Because nothing trails behind the head, it cleans pushed or pulled, so short runs, edges and corners need no turning around. Standard, soft, hard and escalator brush sets fit the same head.

With a 12" path, a head about 8" tall and a 1 gal solution tank riding on the handle, the Port A Scrub 12 slips under tables, shelves and chairs and into stalls and service corridors. Minuteman rates it at 3,770ft² per hour.

Use it as the detail machine beside a larger scrubber, or on its own in small restrooms, kitchens and lobbies. The corded model runs as long as it is plugged in; the battery model works where a cord would be a hazard.

Got Questions?

Find answers below or contact our support team.

Corded or battery: which should I choose?

Both share the 12" cylindrical brush head and the 1 gal solution tank. The corded model runs on a 40' 18-gauge cord for as long as it is plugged in. The battery model runs about 50 min per charge on its 24 V battery and takes about 5.5 h to recharge, so it suits short jobs where a trailing cord is a hazard.

What floors can it clean?

Minuteman lists vinyl, tile, hardwood, concrete, quarry tile, brick, slate, mosaic, granite, marble, rubber and studded rubber, diamond plate, short nap carpet, escalators and people movers. Match the brush set to the surface: standard, soft, hard and escalator brushes are available.

Does it leave the floor wet?

It picks up the dirty water in the same pass it scrubs, so the floor is left close to dry. Empty the dirty water tank when it fills, and wash the brushes and tank after each job so pickup stays strong.

How loud is it?

Minuteman lists a sound level of 66 dBA for the corded Port A Scrub 12.

Is a side brush available?

Yes, as an option. The side brush assembly cleans along walls, under cabinets and into corners. Minuteman advises against using it where there is no wall skirting, because it can mark the wall.

How much does it weigh?

The corded model weighs 49 lbs and the battery model 55 lbs (25 kg), so one person can move it between floors.
