The MRCOOL Care Kit is a complete coil cleaning set for MRCOOL ductless systems. You spray foaming coil cleaner onto the evaporator coil of a wall-mounted air handler and onto the outdoor condenser coil, give it a few minutes to break down dirt, grease and odor, then rinse it away with the pump-pressure pull-rod sprayer. A collection bag hung under the indoor unit catches the runoff and drains it through a tube into a bucket, so nothing runs down the wall.
Nothing needs brushing, and the only parts removed are the front cover and filters. The kit also includes a fresh air-freshening insert to fit once the washable filters are rinsed. It suits owners who want a cleaner, fresher-smelling mini-split between service visits. That is the MRCOOL Care Kit.
Features
Foaming Coil Cleaner
An AC Rescue aerosol foam that spreads through the fins, loosens dirt and oily film, deodorizes, and leaves a protective coating before it rinses off.
Pump-Pressure Pull-Rod Sprayer
Pump the handle a few times, press the top button to rinse, and twist the nozzle to change the spray pattern. It threads onto the included water bottle.
Indoor Collection Bag
Hangs beneath the wall unit on its black strap and catches rinse water, foam and grime, with a spout at the bottom for the drain tube.
Drain Tube to a Bucket
Leads the dirty water from the bag into a bucket on the floor, so the room and the wall stay dry.
Fresh Air-Freshening Insert
Replaces the used insert behind the filters after you wash the reusable filters in mild soapy water and let them air dry.
Indoor and Outdoor Coils
One kit covers the evaporator coil of a wall-mounted air handler and the condenser coil outside; on multi-zone systems, repeat the indoor steps at each head.

Installation
Turn off and disconnect power before you start. Indoors: open the front cover, remove the filters, hang the collection bag under the air handler and run its drain into a bucket, foam the coil through the top vents and the front, wait a few minutes, then rinse with the sprayer. Outdoors: clear loose debris, foam the condenser coil and rinse it with a garden hose. Keep cleaner and water off electrical parts, covering them with a plastic bag if needed, and let the unit drain before restoring power. The indoor steps are for wall-mounted air handlers only, not the DIY ceiling cassette.

About MRCOOL
MRCOOL designs heating, cooling and water-heating equipment from its home base in Hickory, Kentucky. The range runs from DIY ductless mini-splits, built around MRCOOL's patented pre-charged Quick Connect line sets, through contractor-installed mini-splits, central split systems, packaged units and gas furnaces, to HeatWise water heaters and CoolBlade HVLS fans for warehouses and shops.
MRCOOL's Care Kit line is routine coil maintenance for MRCOOL ductless systems. The Care Kit bundles everything needed to foam and rinse the evaporator coil of a wall-mounted air handler and the coil of its outdoor condenser, and the AC Rescue foaming coil cleaner is sold by the can for repeat cleanings. Both work by soaking and rinsing, with no scrubbing and no teardown of the unit.
