The MRCOOL Central Ducted heat kit is an electric element assembly that slides into an earlier R-410A Central Ducted air handler and adds resistance heat for cold days and emergency heat. It comes in 5kW, 8kW, 10kW, 15kW and 20kW for a 208/230V supply, with one or two circuit breakers depending on size.
It is for Central Ducted air handlers already in service; each size fits only the capacities in MRCOOL's chart. Installation is by an authorized dealer or licensed electrician. This is the Central Ducted air handler heat kit.

Five Output Sizes
5kW, 8kW, 10kW, 15kW and 20kW, chosen from the home's heat load and the air handler capacity.
Matched to Air Handler Capacity
5kW for 12K to 36K, 8kW for 12K to 48K, 10kW for 18K to 60K, 15kW for 24K to 60K, 20kW for 36K to 60K.
Four-Prong Locking Fit
Four prongs on the front of the kit lock into four support holes at the back of the cabinet, then screws hold it.
One or Two Breakers
A single breaker on the 5kW to 10kW kits and two on the 15kW and 20kW kits, covered by a silicone breaker cover.
Labeled for Service
A wiring diagram and a circuit breaker label ship with the kit for the installer and later service.

Installation
Professional installation required. This equipment must be installed by a qualified, licensed electrician or contractor, following MRCOOL's installation manual and all local electrical and building codes and permit requirements. MRCOOL's limited warranty applies only to units installed that way, and it does not cover installation labor.
Fits MRCOOL's earlier Central Ducted air handlers (CENTRAL-18-HP-C-230-25, CENTRAL-24-HP-C-230-25, CENTRAL-30-HP-C-230-25, CENTRAL-36-HP-C-230-00, CENTRAL-48-HP-C-230-00, CENTRAL-60-HP-C-230-00) per the capacity chart: 5kW 12K to 36K, 8kW 12K to 48K, 10kW 18K to 60K, 15kW 24K to 60K, 20kW 36K to 60K. The kit installs internally through the knockout in the upper cover and the access panel. Supply is 208/230V; size the wiring from the air handler manual and NEC/local codes.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
MRCOOL handles returns through the store you bought from, so your return comes to us. Unopened, unused MRCOOL equipment can be returned within 21 days of delivery with a return authorization from us. You pay the return shipping, and a restocking fee of up to 20% may be deducted along with payment processing fees. Opened, installed or used equipment and special-order items can't be returned.
MRCOOL's Central Ducted air handler manual, which covers these kits, states no separate warranty for them and warns that installation outside its instructions voids the warranty, so confirm kit coverage with MRCOOL before ordering.
Warranty claims. MRCOOL handles warranty claims directly through support.mrcool.com or (270) 366-0457. Some MRCOOL warranties cover the original purchaser only. Systems that aren't DIY need a valid installation invoice to open a claim.
