The MRCOOL DIY Hybrid is a multi-position ducted air handler that connects to MRCOOL DIY condensers through pre-charged Quick Connect line sets, bringing the DIY install method to homes with existing ductwork. It comes in 24,000 and 36,000 BTU sizes, rated for areas up to 1,050ft² and 1,550ft², and installs upflow, downflow or horizontal.
It fits a retrofit where the old ducts are worth keeping, while wall heads or ceiling cassettes on the same multi-zone condenser handle rooms the ducts never reached. A MRCOOL Smart Thermostat is included. That is the MRCOOL DIY Hybrid air handler.

Installation
Designed for homeowner installation. The Quick Connect line set arrives pre-charged with refrigerant, so no vacuum pump, gauges or refrigerant handling is needed. Each fitting is tightened with two wrenches to the torque in MRCOOL's manual and then leak-checked. Electrical work still has to meet local code: the 230V models need a dedicated 230V circuit, and some areas require a permit or a licensed electrician for that part of the job. Check your local rules before you start.
Supports upflow, downflow and horizontal left or right installation. The installation manual specifies a 208/230V single-phase supply for the indoor unit. Buy a standard air filter that meets UL900 in the size listed in the manual; no remote control is included. Electric heat kits up to 20kW are optional.

Shipping, Returns & Warranty
Ships to addresses in the United States only, by freight carrier for the larger cartons. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout, and the carrier may call ahead to book a delivery window.
Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
MRCOOL handles returns through the store you bought from, so your return comes to us. Unopened, unused MRCOOL equipment can be returned within 21 days of delivery with a return authorization from us. You pay the return shipping, and a restocking fee of up to 20% may be deducted along with payment processing fees. Opened, installed or used equipment and special-order items can't be returned.
MRCOOL's DIY 5th Gen limited warranty covers parts for 5 years and the compressor for 7 years from the proof-of-purchase date, with no registration required. It does not cover labor, diagnosis or shipping costs. Full terms, registration steps and exclusions are in the MRCOOL warranty document under Resources.
Warranty claims. MRCOOL handles warranty claims directly through support.mrcool.com or (270) 366-0457. Some MRCOOL warranties cover the original purchaser only. Systems that aren't DIY need a valid installation invoice to open a claim.
