This is the outdoor heat pump unit of the MRCOOL DIY Select single-zone system, sold on its own for replacing a condenser or completing a system around a DIY Select air handler of the same capacity. It ships with an 11.5' Quick Connect line set charged with R-454B, and the 9,000 BTU unit is rated 17.5 SEER2 and 8.8 HSPF2 (Region IV).
The inverter compressor modulates to the load, and the Gold Fin coil coating suits humid or coastal air. Order the capacity that matches your indoor unit exactly. That is the MRCOOL DIY Select condenser.

Quick Connect Service Valves
The pre-charged lines thread onto the service ports, and the valves open with a 5mm Allen key once the connections are leak-checked.
115V and 208/230V Options
The 9,000 and 12,000 BTU condensers run on 115V; the 18,000 and 24,000 BTU condensers need 208/230V. Every size lists a 20A maximum fuse.

Installation
Designed for homeowner installation. The Quick Connect line set arrives pre-charged with refrigerant, so no vacuum pump, gauges or refrigerant handling is needed. Each fitting is tightened with two wrenches to the torque in MRCOOL's manual and then leak-checked. Electrical work still has to meet local code: the 230V models need a dedicated 230V circuit, and some areas require a permit or a licensed electrician for that part of the job. Check your local rules before you start.
Set the condenser on a level pad or wall bracket with the clearances shown in the manual. Line sizes are 1/4" x 3/8" (9,000 and 12,000 BTU), 1/4" x 1/2" (18,000 BTU) and 3/8" x 5/8" (24,000 BTU). The outdoor unit power cable is purchased separately.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
MRCOOL handles returns through the store you bought from, so your return comes to us. Unopened, unused MRCOOL equipment can be returned within 21 days of delivery with a return authorization from us. You pay the return shipping, and a restocking fee of up to 20% may be deducted along with payment processing fees. Opened, installed or used equipment and special-order items can't be returned.
MRCOOL's DIY Select limited warranty covers parts for 1 year and the compressor for 2 years from the proof-of-purchase date, with no registration required. It is non-transferable and assigned to the original, registered owner, and it does not cover labor. Full terms, registration steps and exclusions are in the MRCOOL warranty document under Resources.
Warranty claims. MRCOOL handles warranty claims directly through support.mrcool.com or (270) 366-0457. Some MRCOOL warranties cover the original purchaser only. Systems that aren't DIY need a valid installation invoice to open a claim.
