The MRCOOL Signature Series 80% AFUE furnace is a single-stage natural gas furnace from MRCOOL's earlier Signature line. It comes as the MGM80 for upflow or horizontal installs at 44,000 or 88,000 BTU/h input, and as the MGD80 for downflow at 44,000 or 66,000 BTU/h input, all in a 33" tall cabinet with a five-speed ECM blower.
It suits a replacement where the home already has Signature Series equipment or the duct layout calls for a compact 80% unit. MRCOOL now offers the VersaPro as its current 80% furnace. Installation is by a licensed HVAC contractor. This is the Signature Series 80% furnace.

80% AFUE Single-Stage Heat
MRCOOL's brochure rates the 44,000 BTU/h input model at 36,000 BTU/h output and the 88,000 BTU/h model at 72,000 BTU/h.
Compact 33" Cabinet
Every model stands 33" tall and 28.375" deep; the 45K unit is 14.5" wide and the 70K and 90K units are 17.5" wide.
Five-Speed ECM Blower
A 1/2 HP blower on the 45K and 70K models and 3/4 HP on the 90K, with up to 1,615 CFM at the top speed on the MGM80 90K.
Aluminized Steel Heat Exchanger
A crimped clamshell heat exchanger, not welded, fired by aluminized steel inshot burners and a silicon nitride ignitor.
Flexible Venting
The combustion air inducer rotates 90 degrees either way, and gas and electrical connections can enter from the left or right side.
Service-Friendly Layout
The blower slides out for service, and the MGM80 has a removable floor base for bottom return air.

Installation
Professional installation required. Gas appliances must be installed by a licensed HVAC or gas contractor, following MRCOOL's installation manual, the fuel-gas and venting codes that apply where you live, and any permit requirements. MRCOOL's limited warranty applies only to units installed that way, and it does not cover installation labor.
MGM80 models install upflow or horizontal; MGD80 models install downflow. Natural gas with a 1/2" gas connection; LP needs the separately ordered conversion kit. Supply is 120V, single phase, 60 Hz. Temperature rise ranges from MRCOOL's brochure: MGM80 45K 15 to 45°F, MGM80 90K 35 to 65°F, MGD80 45K 15 to 45°F, MGD80 70K 30 to 60°F. A field supplied filter is required in the return air.
Not for California. MRCOOL lists these furnaces as restricted in California, so they cannot be shipped to or installed at California addresses.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
MRCOOL handles returns through the store you bought from, so your return comes to us. Unopened, unused MRCOOL equipment can be returned within 21 days of delivery with a return authorization from us. You pay the return shipping, and a restocking fee of up to 20% may be deducted along with payment processing fees. Opened, installed or used equipment and special-order items can't be returned.
MRCOOL's Signature Series equipment warranty lists the MGM80 and MGD80 furnaces: 5 years on covered parts and 20 years on the heat exchanger in a residential installation, without labor. For equipment bought online, MRCOOL requires a qualified installer following ACCA Quality Installation protocols and registration within 60 days of installation. MRCOOL's extended 10-year parts and lifetime heat exchanger coverage states that it does not apply to units ordered over the internet. Warranty claims. MRCOOL handles warranty claims directly through support.mrcool.com or (270) 366-0457. Some MRCOOL warranties cover the original purchaser only. Systems that aren't DIY need a valid installation invoice to open a claim.
