The MRCOOL Signature Series MHK...H heat strip is an electric element assembly with its own circuit breaker that adds backup heat to a Signature Series MAHM split air handler. It comes in 5kW, 7.5kW, 10kW, 15kW and 20kW for a 208/230V single-phase supply.
It is a part for MAHM air handlers already in service, not for MRCOOL's current Signature air handlers, which take different kits. Installation is by a licensed electrician or HVAC contractor. This is the Signature Series MAHM heat strip.

Breaker Mounted on the Strip
Each H strip carries its own circuit breaker, sized by MRCOOL to the strip's kW rating.
Two Circuits on the Large Sizes
The 15kW strip is rated 60A plus 30A and the 20kW strip 60A plus 60A maximum breaker, so plan two supply circuits.
Made for MAHM Cabinets
MRCOOL catalogs the H strips for its Signature Series MAHM split air handlers only.
Open Coil Elements
Coiled resistance elements sit on a steel mounting plate, with the breaker and wiring on the control side.

Installation
Professional installation required. This equipment must be installed by a qualified, licensed electrician or contractor, following MRCOOL's installation manual and all local electrical and building codes and permit requirements. MRCOOL's limited warranty applies only to units installed that way, and it does not cover installation labor.
For MRCOOL Signature Series MAHM split air handlers only. Supply is 208/230V, single phase, 60 Hz. Maximum fuse or breaker: 30A (5kW), 45A (7.5kW), 60A (10kW), 60A plus 30A (15kW), 60A plus 60A (20kW). No separate MRCOOL manual is listed for these strips; follow the MAHM air handler's installation instructions and wiring diagram.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
MRCOOL handles returns through the store you bought from, so your return comes to us. Unopened, unused MRCOOL equipment can be returned within 21 days of delivery with a return authorization from us. You pay the return shipping, and a restocking fee of up to 20% may be deducted along with payment processing fees. Opened, installed or used equipment and special-order items can't be returned.
MRCOOL's Signature Series equipment warranty lists its condensers, furnaces, coils, air handlers and package units but not the MHK heat strips, and it excludes unit accessories, so confirm any coverage with MRCOOL before ordering.
Warranty claims. MRCOOL handles warranty claims directly through support.mrcool.com or (270) 366-0457. Some MRCOOL warranties cover the original purchaser only. Systems that aren't DIY need a valid installation invoice to open a claim.
