The MRCOOL VersaPro packaged heat pump is an all-electric heating and cooling system in a single outdoor cabinet, from 2 to 5 tons. It cools at 13.4 SEER2 and heats at 6.7 HSPF2 on R-454B refrigerant, and MRCOOL rates it to keep heating down to -0.4°F outdoors. It suits ducted homes without gas, or homes replacing an older packaged unit.
The horizontal cabinet sets on a slab or roof curb and connects to the supply and return ducts through its side. Electric heat kits from 5kW to 20kW add backup heat for cold spells. A licensed HVAC contractor handles installation, wiring and the refrigerant checks.

Wide Operating Range
MRCOOL rates cooling from 32°F to 114.9°F outdoors and heating down to -0.4°F.
Electric Heat Kit Ready
Field-installed heat kits of 5, 8, 10, 15 or 20kW provide backup and emergency heat inside the cabinet.
Rotary or Scroll Compressor
The 2 and 2.5 ton models use a rotary compressor and the 3 to 5 ton models a scroll compressor, each protected by internal high and low pressure and coil temperature safeguards.
R-454B Refrigerant
The factory charge is R-454B, a refrigerant with far lower global warming potential than the refrigerant used in older systems.
Aluminum Coils
Both coils use aluminum tube and aluminum fin construction, and the outdoor coil uses 5mm tubes to keep the refrigerant charge down.
Galvanized Steel Cabinet
The painted galvanized steel cabinet houses every component and sits on a slab or a roof curb.

Installation
Professional installation required. This equipment must be installed by a licensed HVAC contractor (EPA Section 608-certified for any refrigerant work), following MRCOOL's installation manual and all local codes, permits and licensing rules. MRCOOL's limited warranty applies only to units installed that way, and it does not cover installation labor.
Install on a level slab at ground level, or on a leveled roof curb where the structure can carry the weight, with the front of the unit tight against the curb. Keep 1" clearance around the supply air duct (1/2" to a combustible curb). Power is 208/230V single phase. Supply and return connect horizontally through the side of the cabinet. Electric heat kits (5kW to 20kW) install in the field and change the circuit requirements, so size the wiring for the kit you plan to use.

Shipping, Returns & Warranty
Ships to addresses in the United States only, by freight carrier for the larger cartons. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout, and the carrier may call ahead to book a delivery window.
Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
MRCOOL handles returns through the store you bought from, so your return comes to us. Unopened, unused MRCOOL equipment can be returned within 21 days of delivery with a return authorization from us. You pay the return shipping, and a restocking fee of up to 20% may be deducted along with payment processing fees. Opened, installed or used equipment and special-order items can't be returned.
MRCOOL's warranty for the VersaPro heat pump packaged series gives the original owner a non-transferable limited warranty of 10 years on parts, and MRCOOL's list of covered parts includes the compressor. It covers replacement parts only, not labor. Full terms, registration steps and exclusions are in the MRCOOL warranty document under Resources.
Warranty claims. MRCOOL handles warranty claims directly through support.mrcool.com or (270) 366-0457. Some MRCOOL warranties cover the original purchaser only. Systems that aren't DIY need a valid installation invoice to open a claim.
