The MRCOOL VersaPro packaged heat kit slides into the blower section of a VersaPro packaged heat pump and adds electric resistance heat, with thermostat control and overheat protection. It comes in 5kW, 7.5kW, 10kW, 15kW and 20kW; the 15kW and 20kW kits run in two stages.
It gives a packaged heat pump backup heat for the coldest weeks, or occasional heat in a mild climate. Installation is by a licensed electrician or HVAC contractor. This is the VersaPro packaged heat kit.

Breakers on Board
Circuit breakers mount on the kit's control panel, two on the larger kits.
Own Power Supply
The heater runs on a separate high-voltage line routed through its own knockout.
Slide-In Fit
The element assembly slides into the plenum slot and its support rod seats in the blower compartment.

Installation
Professional installation required. This equipment must be installed by a qualified, licensed electrician or contractor, following MRCOOL's installation manual and all local electrical and building codes and permit requirements. MRCOOL's limited warranty applies only to units installed that way, and it does not cover installation labor.
Fits VersaPro packaged heat pumps MPH241HO13C to MPH601HO13C (R-454B) and MPH241H413B to MPH601H413B (R-410A): 5kW to 10kW on all sizes, 15kW on 2.5-ton and larger, 20kW on 3.5-ton and larger. The heater needs its own 208/230V supply line. Install the kit before the supply duct is attached.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
MRCOOL handles returns through the store you bought from, so your return comes to us. Unopened, unused MRCOOL equipment can be returned within 21 days of delivery with a return authorization from us. You pay the return shipping, and a restocking fee of up to 20% may be deducted along with payment processing fees. Opened, installed or used equipment and special-order items can't be returned.
MRCOOL's VersaPro heat pump packaged warranty lists these heat kits and gives the original owner a non-transferable limited warranty of 10 years on parts, starting on the proof of purchase date. It covers replacement parts only, and applies only when bought from an authorized dealer and installed to all applicable codes.
Warranty claims. MRCOOL handles warranty claims directly through support.mrcool.com or (270) 366-0457. Some MRCOOL warranties cover the original purchaser only. Systems that aren't DIY need a valid installation invoice to open a claim.
