What it is

The Mytee 480-120 Hot Twin Turbo is a portable heater for adding hot water to any cold-water carpet extractor. It heats the solution line up to 210°F with up to 4,800 watts (four 1,200 watt heating elements) and is rated to 1,500 PSI.

How it connects

It sits in the solution line between your machine and your cleaning tool: connect the input hose to your extractor or truckmount and run a solution line from the output fitting to the tool. A longer solution hose can be used between the heater and the extractor, and Mytee suggests running the heater in-line to keep water hot on long hose runs.

Heat settings and power

Four water-resistant switches select 1,200, 2,400, 3,600 or 4,800 watts. The 480-120 runs on dual 25' 12/3 lighted power cords that must go into two separate circuits, and draws 10 A per switch at 115 V, up to 40 A in total. It has a polyethylene housing with a built-in handle and brass fittings, measures 11.5" x 12.5" x 11" and weighs 30 lb.

Use and compatibility

To avoid vapor lock, prime the extractor's pump and get a steady flow at the tool before switching on the heaters. Flush it regularly with Mytee 3601 System Maintainer to remove hard water scale. It suits unheated Mytee extractors such as the 1000DX-200 Speedster, 2005CS Contractor's Special and BZ-102LX Breeze; the 240-120 Hot Turbo is the single-cord, 2,400 watt version.

The 480-120 is covered by Mytee's warranty: 1 year parts and labor and 2 years on major components, including the heaters.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.

Unused Mytee equipment in its original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. Returns carry Mytee's 25% restocking fee, you pay the return shipping, and payment processing fees are not refunded. Electrical components and refurbished items are final sale, and used machines can't be returned.

Mytee covers the 480-120 for 1 year on parts and labor and 2 years on major components, including the heaters. Freezing damage, abuse, misuse and neglect void the warranty, and normal wear parts are not covered.
