The Nantucket Sinks Wellfleet-1818W is an 18" square white fireclay sink that can be undermounted or topmounted, a petite bowl made for smaller island applications, a bar or a prep station. It gives a kitchen with a main fireclay sink a matching second sink, in classic white glaze, without an apron.
The 15" x 15" square bowl slopes and tapers gently to the bottom so water runs to the 3.5" center drain opening, and a protective bottom grid and a stainless steel finish drain are included. The top edge is finished in glaze, so the sink can be reveal mounted with its rim showing, undermounted, or topmounted as a drop-in.
Fireclay is a natural material that needs fewer cleansers. Dimensions are nominal, so the opening is cut from the actual sink. Nantucket specifies professional installation; mounting hardware is not included.
The Wellfleet-1818 comes in white, matte black and matte grey, and pairs with the larger Wellfleet-3419, Wellfleet-3218W and the Cape farmhouse sinks as the small second sink in an island or bar.
Fit, Mounting and Plumbing
Because it is a dual-mount fireclay sink rather than an apron front, it can sit on a standard cabinet: it needs a base cabinet of at least 21", a 2x4 support frame inside to carry its weight (40 lbs), and room behind it for the faucet (it has no faucet holes, so the faucet goes on the countertop or the wall). The drain opening takes a standard kitchen drain. Nantucket's dual-mount fireclay guide asks for no less than 3" between the back of the sink and the rear cabinet wall so there is room for the faucet, and it recommends professional installation. The countertop opening is cut from the actual sink.
Caring for Fireclay
Fireclay is fired at high temperature under a glaze that lets food stains wipe away and will not rust. Day to day it needs only a mild cleaner and a soft cloth; Nantucket suggests baking soda for stuck-on food, Soft Scrub or a Scotch-Brite sponge for a rare mark, and a little carnauba wax now and then. Nantucket's fireclay care guide calls the material easy and low maintenance, and in hard water areas a quick dry with a cloth prevents spotting.

Installation & Care
Installation
This dual-mount sink can be undermounted below a solid countertop or topmounted as a drop-in, and it fits a 21" minimum base cabinet. The installer supports it on a 2x4 frame inside the cabinet, takes the cutout from the actual sink, and leaves room behind it for a deck or wall faucet, since there are no faucet holes. Mounting hardware is not included, and Nantucket specifies professional installation only. The 3.5" center drain opening takes the included drain. Care
Clean the fireclay regularly with a mild cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge, then rinse; in hard water areas, dry it with a cloth to prevent spotting. Soak stuck-on food to loosen it, using baking soda if needed, and lift a rare surface stain with Soft Scrub or a Scotch-Brite sponge. An occasional coat of carnauba wax adds protection and helps water run off. Fireclay contains no metal, so it will not rust. Fireclay is stain resistant and low maintenance, and the drain should never be over-tightened.

Nantucket Sinks ships this item by UPS or FedEx from North Kingstown, Rhode Island, usually within 1 to 2 business days of your order. Shipping is free within the lower 48 states on orders of $101 or more (orders under $101 ship for a flat $15); for Alaska or Hawaii, contact us before you order. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it ships.
Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
Unused Nantucket Sinks products in their original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. Returns carry Nantucket Sinks' 25% restocking fee, you pay the return shipping, and the return travels at your risk, so pack it as it arrived. Payment processing fees are not refunded. Installed, used or damaged products, and discontinued models, can't be returned.
Nantucket Sinks backs its fireclay sinks with a 5-year limited warranty: it replaces, at its option, any sink found to have a material defect, and replacement sinks are offered at 50% of the original purchase price. Glaze damage from improper or caustic cleansers, cracks from impact, a farm sink forced into its cutout, and cracks from an over-tightened drain are not covered. The warranty covers residential installations for the original purchaser; installation, labor and transportation costs, and damage from installation, improper cleaning, misuse or neglect, are not covered.
Warranty claims. Email Nantucket Sinks at info@nantucketsinksusa.com with the date and place of purchase and installation, the model number, a description of the defect and photos of it.
