The Nantucket Sinks 23.5" Single Bowl Dual-Mount Fireclay Kitchen Sink comes in 2 versions: Matte Grey or White color. Pick your options above to open the exact model, with its own price and details. The details below are for the Matte Grey version.
The Nantucket Sinks ISFC24GR-SB1 is a 23.5" Island Collection fireclay kitchen sink in matte grey: a single 21" x 15.5" bowl, 7.5" deep, with a dual-mount design that installs on top of the counter or underneath it. Made in Europe, it brings a soft, contemporary grey to a small kitchen, a bar or a prep area where white would feel too bright. A bottom grid and a stainless basket strainer drain are included.
Nantucket describes it as ideal for smaller kitchen spaces: the single bowl will still hold plenty of dishware, and the top edge of the sink is finished, so it can be installed as a topmount or an undermount. That makes it a flexible choice for a compact kitchen, a cottage, a prep area or a laundry nook, over a 27" base cabinet.
Fireclay is naturally quiet, resists stains and can handle high heat, and the design combines ease of use with durability. As with all fireclay, the dimensions are nominal because the clay shrinks during firing: each sink can vary by up to 1/4", so Nantucket recommends waiting to receive your sink before buying a cabinet or cutting the countertop. At 50 lbs it is a solid, substantial piece that needs a proper support frame.
Fitting the ISFC24GR-SB1 Fireclay Sink
Plan around the clay. The ISFC24GR-SB1 measures 23.5" x 18" x 8.75" nominal. The finished rim lets it go under the countertop or sit on top of it; either way the installer reinforces the cabinet with a 2x4 support frame and leaves at least 3" behind the sink for the faucet. There are no faucet holes in the sink, so the faucet is planned separately, either through the countertop or on the wall. Nantucket recommends professional installation per local code. The Dualmount Fireclay installation guide in Resources covers the cutout and mounting.
The Island Collection
The ISFC24GR-SB1 belongs to Nantucket's Island Collection, which Nantucket presents as a limited edition of key pieces for kitchen and bath fixtures. In fireclay it includes the 23.5" ISFC24W-SB1 and ISFC24GR-SB1 single bowls and the ISFC24x18W-DB2 double bowl, made in Europe, and the Italian-made 33" ISFCW33x18SO and 35.75" ISFCW36x18SO reversible farmhouse sinks and the 35.5" ISFCGW35X19DBSO double bowl farmhouse sink.
Caring for the Fireclay Glaze
Nantucket's fireclay care guide calls fireclay easy and low maintenance: it contains no metal, so it is stain resistant and will not rust. A mild cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge handle daily cleaning, a cloth dry prevents spotting in hard water areas, soaking with a little baking soda loosens stuck-on food, and Soft Scrub or a Scotch-Brite sponge takes care of the rare surface stain. A periodic coat of carnauba wax protects the glaze and helps water drain faster.
In short, the Nantucket Sinks ISFC24GR-SB1 is a 23.5" fireclay kitchen sink that brings a matte grey fireclay single bowl to a compact kitchen, mounted on top of the counter or under it.
Features
Matte Grey Glaze
The matte grey glaze is a neutral that Nantucket calls a standout for the kitchen, with a low-sheen surface that pairs with stone, concrete and wood counters.
Hand-Tighten the Drain
Nantucket advises tightening the drain by hand during installation, so the fitting is not overtightened against the fireclay and the matte grey bowl is not cracked.
Dual-Mount Finished Edge
Because the top edge is glazed and finished, the sink can sit on top of the counter or be mounted underneath, so the same sink works for either a topmount or an undermount countertop design.
Naturally Quiet Fireclay
Fireclay is a dense ceramic that Nantucket notes is naturally quiet, a quality Nantucket highlights alongside its stain and heat resistance.
Resists Stains and Heat
The glazed surface resists stains and can handle high heat, as Nantucket notes for its Island Collection fireclay.
Grid and Strainer Included
A bottom grid protects the glaze from cookware and a stainless steel basket strainer drain fits the 3.5" opening, so the sink arrives ready to plumb.

Installation & Care
Installation
This is a dual-mount fireclay sink: the top edge is finished, so it can be installed undermount or topmount. It fits a 27" minimum base cabinet. Fireclay is heavy and its dimensions are nominal, varying by up to 1/4" from firing, so Nantucket recommends waiting until the actual sink arrives before buying the cabinet or cutting the countertop. The installer reinforces the cabinet and builds a 2x4 support frame so the rim sits flush with the cabinet walls, leaves no less than 3" behind the sink for the faucet, takes the cutout from the actual sink or the provided template, and seals the support frame and rim; a second person is needed to lift the sink. Professional installation per local code is recommended. The sink has no faucet holes and needs a standard 3.5" drain at the center of the bowl; tighten the drain by hand so it is not overtightened and does not crack the sink. The Dualmount Fireclay installation guide is in Resources.
Care
Fireclay is easy, low-maintenance and contains no metal, so it is stain resistant and will not rust. Clean with a mild cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge, then rinse; in hard water areas, dry the sink with a cloth to prevent spotting. Soak stuck-on food before scrubbing (baking soda helps), and for the rare surface stain use Soft Scrub or a Scotch-Brite sponge. An occasional coat of carnauba wax protects the glaze and helps water run off faster.
