The Nantucket Sinks PR5050-LDBL is a 33" 50/50 low divide double bowl undermount granite composite kitchen sink in black with metallic flecks, part of the Italian-made Plymouth Collection. Two equal 14.5" x 17" bowls let you divide tasks when you want to, and the low 5.125" divide gives clearance when you need it, so large pots and cookie sheets clean as if it were one bowl.
Each bowl is 9.125" deep, deep enough that the low divider does not cost you capacity: Nantucket describes the bowls as large and deep, with plenty of room for larger dishes and bakeware. The classic double bowl layout lets you wash in one side and rinse or dry in the other and use less water doing it, and the rear drains keep the cabinet below more open for storage.
Like every Plymouth sink, it is designed and made in Italy from a granite composite of 80% natural stone and 20% acrylic polymers. Nantucket rates the material resistant to stains and scratches, with a nonporous surface, able to withstand thermal shock and heat resistant to 560°F, and the stone is naturally sound absorbing, which keeps the clatter of dishes and running water down. Its care guide still asks for a trivet under any pan hotter than 500°F, since a pan straight off a burner can exceed 1000°F.
Overall the sink measures 33" x 18.5" x 9.875", weighs 33 lbs and fits a 36" minimum base cabinet. There are no faucet holes, since an undermount sink leaves the faucet to the countertop. Nantucket offers a fitted bottom grid set, BG-PR5050LD, for the two bowls, and the PR6040 models give a 60/40 split if you would rather have one larger bowl.
Installing the PR5050-LD
One detail matters when you order: the spec sheet says undermount installation clips are not included, so the installer supplies them. Otherwise Nantucket's undermount guide asks the fabricator to follow it and local building and plumbing codes, to space the clips evenly around the sink, loosely tighten, adjust and then tighten them, and to cut the counter flush or with a 1/8" to 1/4" overhang; a 1/4" overhang is recommended because it hides the silicone, which is not included. Nantucket lists the NS35LCC flip-top crumb cup drains in brushed stainless or chrome and the 3.5EDF-BRS and 3.5EDF-ORB extended flanges.

Caring for Granite Composite
Day to day, the PR5050-LD sink asks for little: clean it after use with warm water, a liquid detergent and a soft cloth, and wipe tea, coffee and juice up promptly so they do not set. Nantucket's care guide asks you not to cut directly on the surface, to skip harsh abrasives and metal pads, and to keep alcohol, gasoline, acids and solvents away from the stone. In hard water areas, lime build-up comes off by covering the bottom of the bowl with vinegar and water for several hours, then scrubbing with the stiff side of a sponge and rinsing.

This is an undermount sink that mounts beneath the countertop. Undermount installation clips are not included with this sink (the spec sheet says so), so the installer supplies them and spaces them evenly around the rim. Nantucket's installation guide calls for professional installation, and its undermount guide asks the installer to follow local building and plumbing codes. The counter can be cut flush with the bowl or with a 1/8" to 1/4" overhang; a 1/4" overhang is recommended because it hides the silicone, which is not included. It needs a 36" minimum base cabinet. There are no faucet holes, so the faucet mounts on the countertop. Each bowl has a 3.5" rear opening for a standard 3.5" drain, sold separately. The Undermount installation guide is in Resources.

Nantucket Sinks ships this item by UPS or FedEx from North Kingstown, Rhode Island, usually within 1 to 2 business days of your order. Shipping is free within the lower 48 states on orders of $101 or more (orders under $101 ship for a flat $15); for Alaska or Hawaii, contact us before you order. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it ships.
Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
Unused Nantucket Sinks products in their original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. Returns carry Nantucket Sinks' 25% restocking fee, you pay the return shipping, and the return travels at your risk, so pack it as it arrived. Payment processing fees are not refunded. Installed, used or damaged products, and discontinued models, can't be returned.
Nantucket Sinks backs its granite composite sinks with a 5-year limited warranty: it replaces, at its option, any sink found to have a material defect, and replacement sinks are offered at 50% of the original purchase price. Thermal shock, neglect, mistreatment and cracks from an over-tightened drain are not covered. The warranty covers residential installations for the original purchaser; installation, labor and transportation costs, and damage from installation, improper cleaning, misuse or neglect, are not covered.
