Caring for Italian Fireclay
Fireclay is fired at high temperature under a glaze, and it contains no metal, so it will not rust. Clean it regularly with a mild cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge, dry it in hard water areas to prevent spotting, loosen stuck-on residue with baking soda, and use Soft Scrub or a Scotch-Brite sponge only for a rare surface mark.

Installation & Care
Installation
This vessel sits on top of the vanity countertop. Following Nantucket's vessel guide, dry fit the bowl, leave at least 5" behind it for the faucet and cut a hole for the drain on center; there are no faucet holes, so use a tall deck faucet or a wall-mount faucet that reaches across the 17.75" depth. A bead of plumbing silicone bonds the base to the counter (sealant not included). The drain is a 2.5" European-size vanity drain without overflow, not included. The sink weighs 66 lbs. Care
Clean the fireclay regularly with a mild cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge, then rinse; in hard water areas, dry it with a cloth to prevent spotting. Soak stuck-on food to loosen it, using baking soda if needed, and lift a rare surface stain with Soft Scrub or a Scotch-Brite sponge. An occasional coat of carnauba wax adds protection and helps water run off. Fireclay contains no metal, so it will not rust. Fireclay is stain resistant and low maintenance, and the drain should never be over-tightened.

Nantucket Sinks ships this item by UPS or FedEx from North Kingstown, Rhode Island, usually within 1 to 2 business days of your order. Shipping is free within the lower 48 states on orders of $101 or more (orders under $101 ship for a flat $15); for Alaska or Hawaii, contact us before you order. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it ships.
Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
Unused Nantucket Sinks products in their original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. Returns carry Nantucket Sinks' 25% restocking fee, you pay the return shipping, and the return travels at your risk, so pack it as it arrived. Payment processing fees are not refunded. Installed, used or damaged products, and discontinued models, can't be returned.
Nantucket Sinks backs its fireclay sinks with a 5-year limited warranty: it replaces, at its option, any sink found to have a material defect, and replacement sinks are offered at 50% of the original purchase price. Glaze damage from improper or caustic cleansers, cracks from impact, a farm sink forced into its cutout, and cracks from an over-tightened drain are not covered. The warranty covers residential installations for the original purchaser; installation, labor and transportation costs, and damage from installation, improper cleaning, misuse or neglect, are not covered.
